Today is the 16th day of September. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian and it is a pleasure to be here with you and we’re turning the knob, as it were, together and opening the door and walking into a brand-new week together. So, I’m excited that we can step into this new week together and enjoy the journey as we move forward into the Scriptures and into our lives. We’ll read from the Christian Standard Bible this week. Of course, we’re picking up where we left off, Isaiah chapter 22 verse 1 through 24 verse 23 today.
Prayer:
Father, we thank you for this new week to walk into, moving ourselves into the back half of another month. And as we so often say, we come to these moments and we come to them on purpose, and we mention them on purpose because they allow us to look back over the last week, over the last month, and since the beginning of the year, and into our past. You have been faithful. You have brought us here. And, so, we are assured you will lead us forward and we are grateful for that and we are grateful for the gift of your word because it is so important in that guidance. So, come Holy Spirit, plant your word in our lives we pray. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.

Yes. Good morning Daily Audio Bible community. This is Diane Olive Brown calling from Newburgh Indiana on September 13th, I believe…the 12th…September 12th, 2018. Shalom, shalom, nothing is missing and nothing is broken. I finally got made up, not with everything but with the prayer…the readings. I’m gonna have to go back and catch up on the community prayers but I got all caught up and I’m up to date to read the Daily Audio Bible. And because I had to read so many in a day, five or six each day just to catch up, the word was really speaking to me in Job and in the following. Now realize that when I was…I’m a lot like Job, thinking that I’m all righteous and everything is fine, not listening to what this Lord is trying to tell me. So…so in the end there when God finally spoke, he listened to those guys for many chapters and in the very end of Job he says, I have something to say. Job said, I put my hand over my mouth and I’m sorry. So, one thing I really got and I want to rejoice about is the understanding of repentance and that it’s so important to come low before the Lord and to come to him in a contrite heart no matter how right you think you are with Him to take time to listen to Him to tell you what you’re doing wrong and repent and then pray for all those…

I’ve been doing __ but it seems like the worst and the temptation just keep coming. Hello my amazing friends and my family in Christ. This is Candace from Oregon. I just listened to the September 13 broadcast and it was just, again, once again filled with encouragement and very specific encouragement to the anguish and difficulties that I am in right now. My son is definitely in crisis and since he’s 35 years old I might not have been updated yet because I’ve been praying so faithfully for him and believing God that he might be in really good shape by now and not have told me yet. It’s partly because it’s because its 2…I’ve been praying since 2 o’clock in the morning. It’s 4 o’clock in the morning now. This call is to thank you because, Brian, your reading that day, September 13, your commentary and then each person that called into pray, there was just one nugget after another of encouragement and wisdom and strength to bring into this chaos that I am involved with, to bring into it a sound mind of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is blessing me through you and I need to thank you. Thank you Brian and thank you everyone who called in. Lord, I thank you.
Hi this is Sonja calling from Tampa and I want to pray for my family. Lord I ask that You look upon my DAB family. Father, You know their petitions my savior and King and I know that Your mercies are new every day. I know that You are God and that there is nothing too difficult for You. There is absolutely nothing that You can’t do if we choose to trust You. I pray that today will be a day of revelation, a day of complete trust in You Lord so that we can be reassured that You are God Jehovah the great one, the Almighty one, the God of second chances and new opportunities. I declare that today we choose to trust You Lord. Today we stand on Your word and we choose You. No matter what we’re going through we choose to trust You. Maybe see Your glory prevail merciful and mighty God. Today we trust in our healing and our new jobs, trust You and our deliverance for our children and family, trust You in our finances. Today we choose to trust You in everything Lord. Father, I pray that we continue to trust You no matter what the circumstances are and I believe that we will see the windows of heaven open and we will see You move in our lives. Holy Spirit continue to help us in every area of our lives and teach us every day to trust You Lord. Lord, today we put on the full armor of God, the helmet of salvation, the breast plate of righteousness, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit, the belt of truth, and the shoes for the preparation of the gospel of peace. I declare that we are mighty warriors in Christ and that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Amen.
