2 Samuel 22:1-23:23, Acts 2:1-47, Psalms 122:1-9, Proverbs 16:19-20

Today is the 4th day of June, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we greet another week. And it’s a reset friends. This week is in front of us. It’s not behind us. It’s in front of us. And, so, our choices will make up what this week looks like. And, so, we are doing the right thing by immersing ourselves in the Scriptures as they inform those choices and those words and those thoughts that we write upon this week with the story of our lives. And, so, it is wonderful to be together as we gather yet again around the Global Campfire and move forward. And moving forward leads us back to where we left off and that leads us back into the book of second Samuel. And today we will read second Samuel chapter 22 verse 1 through 23 verse 23 and we will read from the New International Version this week.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word.  We thank You for this brand-new week and we get to immerse ourselves in the Scriptures, allowing You to continue the work of transforming us, sanctifying us, restoring us, putting it back together, bringing shalom, making is whole again. Thank You for Your continued work in restoring us. We love You and we are excited as we move into the book of Acts into this new territory for what You will reveal to us. And as we approach the ending of second Samuel and continue forward in that story, we are eager for all that You have to show us. And from the psalms today we do indeed pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and those who love You be secure. May there be peace within Your walls and security within Your citadels. For the sake of our family and friends, we will say, peace be within You. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, we will seek Your prosperity. We pray these things Jesus in Your mighty and precious name. Amen.
