Today is the 11th day of May. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is a pleasure to be here with you every day. I say that most every day because it’s true, but it’s great to be here with you as we end another of our weeks together as we continue our journey through this year and through the 5th month of the year, which is the month we’re in, May. So, we’ve been working our way into and through the book of first Samuel and we’ve met Samuel and we understand who he is, and we understand the people want a king and that King is materializing as we make our journey through first Samuel. Today we’ll read chapters 10 and 11 and we’ve been reading from the New English Translation this week.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for another week in Your word. And as we begin to approach the center of this 5th month, we are reminded that the time goes by, day by day. And with every day the rhythm of Your word speaks life into our lives and with every day we are writing the story of our lives with our thoughts and our words and our deeds. And, so, as we release this week and it becomes a part of our history we look forward to all that You will do in the coming week. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.

Hello this is Brian from California, I’m a longtime listener, first time I’ve ever called. The May 7th podcast, the very first gentleman that called in for a prayer request, was a young man going to nursing school in Texas and he’s having a hard time and I just…I want to reach out and pray to him, pray for him, and pray for covering upon him. He didn’t give a name, but he doesn’t have to. He’s got an incredible family behind him that is praying for him and I lift him up in prayer. Blind Tony, I love you brother. I am so moved by every one of your prayers when you call in, it just absolutely blows me away. Lastly, the gentleman that called in and the last prayer request of the day, it touched me. It hit me right when I needed to be hit, and it got me…it my attention right when I needed my attention to be gotten. God touch me, and I just want to thank you for the call. I love you guys. Hi, this is Victoria Soldier just calling to pray for some of the DABbers. I want to pray for the marriages of a couple of brothers that’s been calling in and even…I don’t know of any sisters but I know we go to also. But some of the brothers that they’ve been calling in, their hearts seem so sincere and God wants to bless their marriage, God wants to work a miracle and I want you…I want you to pray with me for this miracle. And I also want to pray for Lester, he’s studying for…to be a nurse he’s going through the challenges. I’m asking God to just supernaturally bless him and just supernaturally strengthen him and bless him with flying colors. Gracious Father we just lift You up today, father in the name of Jesus we just praise You because You’re merciful, You’re mighty, You’re holy. Oh God You are wonderful You are wonderful Lord, we just praise Your name. Lord we ask You to touch Lester, we ask You to touch him Lord, strengthen him. You crown his head with Your wisdom and knowledge. Oh Lord in the name of Jesus You bless him with flying colors, You bless him with strength, strength like Samson Lord. You bless him with the strength to make it through. Lord let him soar like with the wings of an eagle Lord. Hello Daily Audio Bible family, this is scooter formerly of Yonkers now and Tuckahoe, still living in his presence. I called for several reasons but the biggest one is to give a praise report of sorts. I have mentioned the challenges that I have been dealing with for well over a decade at my job and God opened up a window for me to at least express my feelings, tell my story to someone who is in a position of superiority, someone over my boss. So, I’m calling for the family to pray for me when I have that sit down, to tell that story without malice, without judgment, without bitterness, resentment, without any of the things that we often…that often flareup when you’ve been holding something in for such a long period of time. I also want…I also need wisdom, discernment, understanding, sensitivity just as Joseph was before Pharaoh, that is how I want to…the spirit that I want to be speaking in and operating in. I think you all for always praying for those of us…even though I don’t call in as often as I would like…and that’s another thing…just…very quickly. Those of us who feel like our troubles are too small or that there’s just some form of shame or guilt or embarrassment or just low self-value or self-worth, self-esteem, whatever it is. I want…I’m praying for you to have boldness, strength to reach out. I love you all. God bless each and every one of you. Grace and peace.
This is Leslie in Oklahoma I’m a first-time caller. I’ve been listening faithfully to DAB since October 2nd, 2018 and I absolutely love it. It has changed my life so much. And I’ve read through the Bible several times using another Bible app but I didn’t have a connection that I have of the DAB. You guys are such a blessing and I thank God for Brian Hardin and his family and the DAB family and I pray along with all of you when you call in and I also pray for people who don’t call him. I’m calling in now because I want to give a testimony of what God did for me. I came from a very dysfunctional family and my mother died when I was 16 months old. And, so, for years I would ask God, “why did you take my mother from me, didn’t you know that I needed her?” I didn’t understand. God answered my prayer when I was about 30 years old. I was having chest pains and my husband took me to the emergency room. And my doctor met me there and he did an EKG and told me I had a heart attack and he was gonna put me in the hospital. I told him I couldn’t go in the hospital because my husband was also…due to a medical couldn’t work and I was the only one working. So, I asked the doctor if we could do something else and he told me to wait out in the waiting room while they finished running the tests and while I’m sitting there I’m thinking, “if I die who’s gonna raise my kids? Who’s gonna tell them about Jesus? Who’s going to love my kids?” And all the sudden I thought, “that’s what my mother went through when she knew she was dying, that’s all she cared about were her 10 children.” I felt like I was…I felt like I bonded with her and it was amazing what God did for me. And that’s something that I will remember for the rest of my life and I just wanted to call you and tell you because Mother’s Day is Sunday and this was such a blessing…
