Judges 8:18-9:21, Luke 23:44-24:12, Psalms 99:1-9, Proverbs 14:9-10
Today is the 28th day of April. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is great to be here with you as we step through this threshold into our brand-new shiny, sparkly week. So, we got a brand-new married person in my family yesterday. China and Ben were wed. So, they’re starting their new week off in their new marriage. This will be their first day of marriage. Of course, it’s a brand-new shiny, sparkly week for all of us every time we reach this threshold and we start with a brand-new translation for the new week. This week we’ll read from the Common English Bible and we are moving forward in the book of Judges where we’re meeting these 13 judges who guided and ruled Jerusalem after Joshua’s death. We’ve spent the last couple of days reading in the story or of the story of the judge Gideon, which we will continue with today. Judges chapter 8 verse 18 through 9:21
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You that Your word has brought us to this day, day by day and here we are walking into a new week and we thank You Father that Your word will continue to guide us into this new week and through this new week and into a new month and as we continue to make it a part of our daily rhythm will guide us every day of our lives. We thank You for that Lord, this constant companion, this friend who will tell us the truth, look us in the eyes and flat out tell us when we’re wrong. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit speaks through Your word and leads us into life together. So, come Holy Spirit into this new week we pray. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.

So, we had a wedding yesterday and married off our daughter and what joy, I mean, I was mentioning it yesterday. It’s kind of a bittersweet…bittersweet thing but we are overjoyed for this new season and for this new chapter and all that will come from it for God’s kingdom. And, so, congratulations to China and Ben who are enjoying their first full day of marriage. And we are so honored and so excited for that. And we certainly ask the community around the Daily Audio Bible to raise the canopy of prayer over them as they move into their first week together and their first month and their first year. And a lot of things change, a lot of adjustments have to be made as you learn to become one and settle into a new rhythm of life together. So, thank you for your prayers over them.

Community Prayer and Praise:
Hello Daily Audio Bible family this is Alfio calling from Delaware. I just wanted to congratulate Brian and Jill for the upcoming wedding. China, our very best wishes to you. Congratulations once again. I am praying for you and your husband to be the very best of union. I am praying that your marriage might be a success, might glorify God, and that it might be an example of the love of Christ for his church. I am praying for a very wonderful wedding day but a most glorious amazing marriage. Let those who look at both of you glorify God in every aspect of life knowing that it is God who fashioned the union of man and woman and it’s God who is the glue, who is the center of everything. May you always run to God whenever you hit some roadblocks, when things are great may you praise him, when things are tough that you run to him. He is the only one that will hold your hand through thick and thin. Know that this family is praying for you and wishing you the very best and we are so proud of you. May you have a blessed life together. Congratulations China. And Brian and Jill, congratulations once again. This is a Alfio from Delaware. Bye-bye.
Hello Daily Audio Bible family. It’s Emmanuel again. First, I want to start off giving a prayer to all God’s children who are asking for prayer and as they are seeking. So, let’s start off with Ephesians 6:16. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God praying at all times in the spirit with all prayer supplications. To the end keep alert with all __ making supplications for all the saints. So, I pray for all the family on here seeking for God and prayers. I continue to have you in my heart. God is with us. And, so, my name is Emmanuel. Secondly, I would like to request a prayer. I had asked before about my marriage with Karina. Things are just not coming out so good and I still have hope and I am following God’s word and I just want the kind of pray a verse out there. And hopefully God is still with me. Sometimes I do feel lonely, sometimes I do feel rejected, but I know that God is saying stand still. First Peter 3:7. Live with your wife in an understanding way and show her honor as a fellow heir for the grace of life. Daily Audio Bible all I ask is you continue praying for us. We need the Holy Spirit to come between our marriage. Things are just not very easy right now but I’m continuing to hold in and praying for you guys and continue to pray as well for my marriage. Thank you, Brian for giving us our daily bread and the Lord as well for giving you a lot of strength. I know you’re tired but thank you. We come to you in the name of the Father…
Good morning Daily Audio Bible family. It’s a pleasure to call and I feel so much love in my heart for God that I finally want to break the silence and I want to reach out to all of you because I love God so much and I love you all so much. I was really touched by the message from __ April by somebody from Australia. I don’t know your name, I didn’t hear it so well, but you had a fight with the husband of your ex. And I only want to say, the word came right in my mind, there’s no condemnation for the ones who are in Christ. So, don’t punish yourself. God is not punishing you. You can come to Him in humility and He will forgive you. That’s how He is. That is His nature. Thank you so much Brian for this beautiful podcast and this beautiful thing that you are doing through the Daily Audio Bible. You have such a beautiful pure voice that you bless us every day with and to explain Scripture. It gives so much extra to me and I think to a lot of lot of people and I also want to say to there’s one beautiful…a little but…I think…older man…his name I think Tony if I remember well. You have such beautiful, beautiful poems and I love to hear them more. So, maybe you can call again. Yes. I always think I…it’s not my native language, English, but I needed to reach out and to __ for the message of the 25…to reach out and…
Hi, I’m calling from Louisiana and every day we get prayer requests from around the world and we all join in and today I have China and Ben on my heart. May we all reach out that their special day is to glorify God as they get ready to set this path that they’re fixing to take, this journey that they’re getting to take together as one flesh. I just thank you Brian and Jill for letting us be a part of your children’s lives as we’ve been with the Daily Audio Bible all these years. And now family, let’s just lift up Ben and China and also their parents as I know this is gonna be hard on that day. There’ll be tears, there’s no doubt, but it’ll be tears of joy. And why? Because it’s all because of Jesus. My next thought is that if you wanted to do something for China or Ben, do it in the form of a monetary donor nation to Daily Audio Bible. What greater way then we could serve Jesus by serving the servants. Love you Daily Audio Bible. Love from Louisiana, Tammy.
