Judges 9:22-10:18, Luke 24:13-53, Psalms 100:1-5, Proverbs 14:11-12
Today is the 29th day of April welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I am Brian it is great to be here with you today as we…as we come in for a landing on another one of our weeks together. And we’re about to bring another one of our months together in for a landing but we’re here now taking the next step forward. And the next step forward leads us back to where we left off, which will bring us to the book of Judges once again. We’ve been reading through the story of Gideon and Gideon has died now and his son Abimelech has killed all but one of his sons. Abimelech is a son of Gideon. He was born to his concubine in the city of Shechem. And we will pick up the story from there. Judges chapter 9 verse 22 through 10 verse 18 today.
Prayer:
Father, we thank you for your word. We thank you for bringing us another week into and through Scriptures. We thank you for all that the Scriptures touch inside of us and the way that they open our eyes that we might see. And we ask Holy Spirit that you continue to lead us to the truth and nothing but the truth. Lead us deeper into Jesus. Lead us deeper in our commitment and relationship in covenant with you. Lead us in the way that we should go. And even as we prepare to end a month and even as we’ve concluded the gospel of Luke today, we have one more gospel, the gospel of John that we begin tomorrow. And Holy Spirit come and lead us as we share this time over these coming days moving through the gospel of John. We love you Lord. We are grateful for the opportunity to…to live at the time that we do and have the technology that we do that would allow us to gather each and every day and take a step forward. We ask that you would continue helping us, leading us forward in the way that we should go. We pray this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and our Lord. Amen.
