Today is the 1st day of April welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. Welcome to the 91st day of the year. It is wonderful to be here with you today around the Global Campfire. And usually every April 1st for I guess as long as I can remember…well…not as long as I can remember…as long as the Daily Audio Bible’s been going on, we switch it up a little bit. I’ve read from some really obscure kind of paraphrases and translations before that are humorous and we’ve traded places, Jill and I in the past, or China and I in the past. This year I thought, you know, we’re not gonna play a joke. I;m not gonna play a joke on you or a trick. Nobody’s a fool here for April fool’s this year. I just ask Jill in China and Ezikiel if they would join us here at Daily Audio Bible today and each take a little section of our reading. And, so, that’s what we will do today as we commemorate the first day of April and then hang around at the end. There’s a brand-new item in the Shop I’ll tell you about. But we have come together to take the next step forward in the Scriptures. And, so, let’s do exactly that. Today Deuteronomy chapters 18, 19, and 20.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You for another day and this special day. Thanks for bringing us all together as a family to read it, but as a community to absorb it and allow it to seep into our lives. So, here we are. We have completed a quarter of the year and we are entering the second quarter of the year and we look back and it’s funny how it goes, how the time goes, but we have gone every day for three months and we thank You Lord for all that we have learned, all that we have seen, all that we have absorbed, and for the work that You have done in our hearts by the power of Your Holy Spirit. And, so, as we begin this second quarter of the year, we recommit ourselves day by day step-by-step moving forward together through the Scriptures and we open ourselves to You and say come Holy Spirit and continue to plant the seeds from the Scriptures into our lives. May they reap a bountiful harvest of the fruit of Your Spirit that may be released into the world through us. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
