Today is the 31st of October welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I can’t believe it. It’s the 31st day of October. So, this concludes our 10th month of a 12-month journey. And what a journey it has been. And on our journey through the Scriptures, we have made several transitions over the last couple of days. We’ve moved through and into new territory, which is where we find ourselves now. In the Old Testament we’re in the book of Lamentations. In the New Testament we have just begun the book of Hebrews, where we will camp out for little bit. And, so, let’s dive in. We’re reading from the English Standard Version this week. Today, Lamentations, chapters 4 and 5.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for bringing us here to the very end of 10 months journeying through Your word together. We thank You for all the different transitions we’ve moved through over the last few days through Titus, and Philemon and now the book of Hebrews moving out of the book of Jeremiah and into and through and completing today the book of Lamentations. And we are looking forward to starting a brand-new month, the 11th month of the year tomorrow in brand-new territory in the Old Testament as we prepare to navigate through the book of Ezekiel. And, so, we thank You for where we are in this year and all that You have taught us from all different facets of the Scriptures. And we take this moment to just be grateful. 10 months every day step-by-step day by day through Your Scriptures has brought us here to this place in life and in community. And, so, Lord, we ask that You continue to lead us into all truth. Lead us forward. Reveal the narrow path that leads to life, that we may walk in it. And guide our steps on the pathways of righteousness, we pray. In the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

We have concluded 10 months together every single day and it has brought us to this point, and we will begin to turn into the home stretch as we begin a new month tomorrow. And as we begin that new month, I mentioned this before, like things start speeding up. Like, it won’t feel like that tomorrow but before November is over, we’ll be in full Christmas swing and the busiest most wonderful time of year. It’s a joyous time but it can also be a stressful time and that ultimately affects the way that we rest. And we want to be present, we want to be rested, we want to be alert, we want to be awake. And, so, looking forward to it very much.
