Jeremiah 51:54-52:34, Titus 3:1-15, Psalm 100:1-5, Proverbs 26:18-19

Today is the 28th day of October, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. And we’re kind of rounding the corner on this month and heading toward the end. Crazy as it is, we’ll be in the 11th month of the year, very soon, days from now. And we’ll get there, we’ll get there like we get everywhere step-by-step, day-by-day. And today is the 28th day of October, so that leads us to pick up where we left off, which leads us back into the book of Jeremiah. We’re reading from the New Living Translation this week and today, Jeremiah chapter 51 verse 54 through 52 verse 34.

Prayer:

Father, we love You. We worship You, we thank You for Your word, we thank You for bringing us together around the Global Campfire in community, to move through the Scriptures together, we thank You for the indelible mark that they make on us. Thank You for the way that they challenge everything about us and invite our growth and maturity and we ask for, that we be wise, mature sons and daughters of Your kingdom, representing You well, bringing a smile to her face. We love You. Our lives mean nothing without You. Our lives wouldn’t exist without You. So, we adore You and we thank You for another day, another week, another month to spend together in community, centered around the Scriptures, this unspeakably good gift that You have given us to guide and direct our paths. So, Holy Spirit, lead and guide us in the way of righteousness. We pray in the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

So, search for Daily Audio Bible at the App Store that is connected to your device, and you should be able to find it, no problem. And then you can find out what’s going on around here in the palm of your hand, as well as take the journey through the Bible in a year in a very well-designed way that helps you keep track of where you’re going and congratulate you on your accomplishments, as we move our way through the different sections of the Bible so, check it out.

As far as what’s going on around here, couple days from now on Tuesday, which will be the first day of November, a brand-new resource will be releasing here in the community, it’s called Sleep, A Contemplative Journey and it is a musical and spoken journey, intended to create space for rest, to create an atmosphere where we can, where our minds can begin to wind down, slow down and our spirits can feel at ease and at peace and a space has been created for us to drift off into beautiful sleep. And we, like there’s never a time that we don’t need that, we’re human beings are we’re made this way, we need sleep, and we fight sleep, and we don’t get good rest all the time because of anxieties or pressures of life that we have to deal with. This is created to kind of enter into that space and make a new space. Kind of like what we do here, around the Global Campfire every day, we come here, drag in the cares of life around our ankles and slumping our shoulders down and we leave them at the door. Like, we come in here around the Global Campfire together and we’re all in this together and we’re here in a safe place to allow the Scriptures to wash into our lives. Sleep, A Contemplative Journey is allowing that pattern and creating space and an atmosphere for rest. So, really looking forward to that coming out on Tuesday. You can preorder it now wherever it is that you get your music and certainly check it out.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, if the mission here to bring the spoken word of God read fresh every day and offered to anyone who might listen, anywhere on this planet, any time of day or night and to build community around that rhythm, what we lovingly know as the Global Campfire, so that when on a solitary journey, we’re in this together, not only in our lives but in the Scriptures. If that has been life-giving to you then thank you deeply for your partnership. There is a link on the homepage at dailyaudiobible.com. If you’re using the app, you can press the Give button in the upper right-hand corner or the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996 Springhill, Tennessee 37174.

And as always, if you have a prayer request or encouragement, you can hit the Hotline button in the app, that would be the little red button up at the top or you can dial 877-942-4253.

And that’s it for today, I’m Brian, I love you and I will be waiting for you here, tomorrow.

Prayer and Encouragements:

Hey DAB family, this is Kathy from Western New York. It’s been a little while since I’ve called in. My daughter Natalie was trying some other treatments, she is the girl in her 20s who, who’s brain has slipped to the back of her skull. Those other treatments, the conservative ones, have not been working. And so, her dad and I are going with her next week to meet with a neurosurgeon and to set a date for her to have her surgery. So, I ask DAB family, that you would be please keep us in your prayers. Pray for this process to be anointed and I will let DAB family know when the surgery is slatted, so that you guys can be praying. I’m praying for all of you, I’m listening and hearing your hearts cries. And know that I am praying for you. And I thank you so much for praying for my family and for me. My son is struggling, as you can imagine. He’s her little brother, his name is Evan. So, I ask you to pray for my family and especially for Natalie, who is facing this risky surgery. She’s been very brave and she’s hanging onto the Lord, and I praise Jesus, this is not the path we would want but we are praising in grabbing onto his joy. Because we believe in His word and promises. So, thank you so much DAB family. I’m with you guys every day, don’t know what I would do without you. Love you all. Thank you.

Good morning Daily Audio Bible family. This is Consider It Pure Joy in Ohio. What a morning to be in the word, what a morning to hear prayer requests around bullying and encouragement. For so many difficult issues and I always struggle sometimes to appropriately empathize with some of the requests, cause they’re just so foreign to my experiences. But today, I believe it was Tarren, prayed, in her 30s, diagnosed breast cancer, or diagnosed cancer, didn’t specify what kind. And two small children. Tarren, I feel you; I don’t know exactly what you’re going through. But my wife was 34 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and our children were 7 and 5. Incredibly difficult time, incredibly difficult news. Man did the Lord show himself in that season of our life. And He has a plan, and you will find out just how amazing He is, if you allow Him to work in this situation. I know it’s crazy to think but I absolutely would consider that time in our life to be a blessing because it solidified so many things for my wife and I. So, praying for you sister. I love you, God Bless. Consider it Pure Joy.

Hey DAB family, this is Your Sister Ashley from California. And I just have to share with you the most beautiful thing that happened. I don’t know if you already know, I posted it the other day, but I don’t know if it’s up there yet. So, I was getting coffee this morning, and going back to the hospital with Jackson. Ya’ll, I know God is already working because He is working, He is doing His thing with the medicine and the doctors all the people that are taking care of him. But I was in Starbucks and the barista had the most beautiful faith and she came, and she brought me my coffee and she prayed with me for Jackson. And guys, it is, it blessed my socks off. And then there was a lady waiting in line for her drink and she came, and she just blessed me, and she just confirmed she prayed in agreement with me. So, God is so good. He’s so faithful and He loves us so much. I just wanted to share that so, I pray that, I will be praying along with everybody. And I love you DAB family. Bye.

This is Wide Eyed with Wonder from Texas, calling on October 25th for Al, the 9th grader. Al, we have been lifting you up with prayer in our family. My 8th grader, Ethen, has been praying for you. Just want to let you know that you are an inspiration to so many. In praying for you the story of Joseph, came to my mind, in the way that he was harmed, wrongfully harmed and it was meant for ill but God turned that into something that actually positioned him to walk into the calling that God had set on his life. And I pray that over you. I pray protection over your mind, your heart and your emotions in this time. And that you would grow in ways that you’ve never experienced before in your relationship with Christ. And that you would be walking into all that He has placed before you. That the greatness of your calling and your purpose and design. In Jesus name. Amen.

Hi, Sparky this is for you, this is Delights in Me. I want to encourage you. I am a mom of three and I have done some pretty disgusting things in my eyes. In the worlds eyes I’m probably an angel but I just want to encourage you that God takes all things and works them for good. And I think it’s okay that your daughter sees you make a mistake. What’s important is that she sees how you bounce from it. I think that I trust that God’s gonna use that as an important lesson for her. So, I’m praying Lord, please help Sparky to have wisdom in this situation. And his daughter to be receptive to this. And I pray that You help Sparky to make better choices when it comes to work and people that are around him and that he interacts with that don’t know You and don’t know Your ways. And Lord, I pray that You give, You help Sparky to give himself forgiveness and help him to look forward and not behind and to press forward. Thank You Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen.
