2 Samuel 15:23-16:23, John 18:25-19:22, Psalms 119:113-128, Proverbs 16:10-11
Today is the 30th day of May welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it is wonderful to be here with you today as we continue to take the next steps forward. And here we are, end of another week and we will begin a new week tomorrow and end a month at the same time. So, that’s kind of where we find ourselves. What a joy to find ourselves here together around the Global Campfire at this point in time, at this point in history, that we can gather together and take the next step forward. And, so, let’s do that. That will lead us…well…we’re reading from the English Standard Version this week, which is today but that will lead us back into the book of second Samuel. And there is an enormous amount of intrigue happening there. Absalom, the son of King David is planning a coup to overthrow his father. So that’s where we pick up that story. And in the gospel of John, Jesus has been arrested and is on trial. So, second Samuel chapter 15 verse 23 through 16 verse 23 today.
Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for another week together in Your word. We thank You for another month together in Your word for that matter. We thank You for all of the months and all of the days of our lives. You have been loyal and faithful and loving and kind and compassionate and long-suffering. You have loved us even when we were Your enemies. And that is so true. And yet, Your love has compelled us and here we are, and we are so grateful to be in relationship with You. And we are so grateful for all that You are teaching us and all that You are speaking to us and into us through the Scriptures. So, come Holy Spirit and plant the words that we’ve read this week into our lives, transforming us, we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Hi this is Vittoria Soldier just calling to pray with some of the DABbers and I just was…my heart just went out to my brother who’s named trust in…who has been trusting in his prayers with his…with his wife and trying to pour out his heart to her. And I just pray for him and all those who are going through with their marriages and really wanting to see it work. And Lord I just ask You to Have Your Way, Lord You be in the midst in that marriage You be in the midst in those marriages. Oh Lord You have Your way. Lord You can make a way out of no way. Oh Lord You know the enemy wants to divide. The enemy wants to kill that family structure because then he could get the whole household. But Lord I ask You, I ask You right now in the name of Jesus that You open doors in that life in that marriage and You bring so much life in that marriage that they would not even want to leave Lord, that they’ll want to stay and love each other Lord. You let Your love flow in those marriages Lord in the name of Jesus. Lord, and the one…the lady who lost her precious husband. Lord I just ask that You let that love flow in her heart even though he’s going God that she has the strength in knowing that God has been good, that God gave her a piece of life that is worthy of all praise. Lord, You have Your way in the life of the DABbers. You give them life and favor, You open doors no man can close. Our medical people Lord, we ask that You bless them Lord. We ask that You strengthen them Lord. We ask that You keep them with Your favor and let them know to seek You first. Oh Lord that God is still the healer and You are still the one who will lead them…lead them to the rock. Lord continue to have Your way. Continue to let them remember their oath and their oath that…their oath and the oath of love that they have in their heart to be able to…
On the 18th there was a man from England who called in to remind us all to be thankful for everything around us and to be content with what we have and to see God’s goodness in adversity. I just want to thank you for saying that brother. I’m in a very deep dark time losing my marriage and not knowing how to cope without loss, my mother on her deathbed. It all seems to be hitting at the same time, but I know I need to run to God. So, thank you for your encouragement and I appreciate all your prayers as I just don’t know how to deal with all of the loss I’m experiencing in life right now, how to move forward, how to grieve, and what God has for me next. I love you all. Thank you, Brian for your consistency and for this podcast. Take care everyone.
In the last couple of months a lot of people have been touted as heroes and rightfully so because they go out every day and put their lives on the line to serve the public but there is one group of who is not mentioned and I want to say thank you to those people today. And that is those who dedicate their lives as missionaries to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. I appreciate the people who help to mend our bodies but there is only one who can mend our souls and that is Jesus. So, I want to say thank you to all the people who go out every day and put their lives on the line. And they serve the sick and they serve even their enemies in order to show them the light of Jesus Christ and His love. And I just want to say thank you to you now because you’re my heroes. And I know that even though you may not get the kind of thank you that you deserve here in earth that there are true rewards waiting for you when Jesus returns. So, God bless you all. Thank you.
Good morning DABbers this is Danny I want to thank Terry from Australia for taking that step and calling about your pornography addiction. It’s a difficult thing I’m sure to live with and to admit to. And, so, but there’s something to say about confessing our sins and He’s faithful and just to forgive us our sins. And you couldn’t have told a better community. So, I want to lift you up in prayer and also want to pray for Shannon in Texas I believe it was who called and picked up and moved your life to a new place for a job and now you don’t have a job. And, so, I want to lift both of you guys up in prayer. Heavenly father I just first lift up Terry and I…I know that you see all things and you see his struggles, you know his heart Lord and you know that he wants to be delivered from this addiction and deliverance is never easy Lord but with you it is possible. And, so, I just pray father that you would just release him from this, just take it away from him, take away that desire Lord. And that every time his eyes would look upon something that is ungodly according to your standard Lord that you would…that you would remind him, and he would make the right choice and flee. And I pray for Shannon Lord, that you would make this move part of your direction and that you would just create for her a new path Lord and take care of her. Thank you in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
