Deuteronomy 23:1-25:19, Luke 10:13-37, Psalm 75:1-10, Proverbs 12:12-14

Today is the 3rd day of April, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It is great to be here with you today as we greet with open hearts, a brand-new shiny sparkly week. This be the first time we do this in the month of April. This is the first full week of the month of April and it is a joy and a privilege and an honor to be here with you today, as we gather around the Global Campfire. Find a place, exhale and take the next step forward together and this week we will read from the Christian Standard Bible, and of course will pick up where we left off yesterday and that will lead us back into the book of Deuteronomy today, we will read chapters 23, 24 and 25.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word. We thank You for this brand-new shiny week, that we are moving into. As we move into this brand-new shiny month. And so, Holy Spirit, we humble ourselves before You and consecrate this month to You. It’s time that we be doers and not just hearers alone. And we thank You that we can hear and we thank You that it can shift things inside of us but we must also live into the things that You are exposing within us. And so, come Holy Spirit in this brand-new month. And may it be a month as transition even as the seasons change, may our seasons change from within. We pray this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer and Encouragements:

Calm, calm the rage in me like You calmed the raging sea. Just the sound of your voice, changes everything. How will we still, how will we end, how will we still. Open my ears to hear, open my eyes to see. Open my heart to receive all of you, for all of me.

Dear Lord, we lift up Daughter of Honor to You today in Bangalore. We pray healing over her body, over her tonsils. We pray that You will bless her with the desires of her heart. And that You will bless her family Lord, bless her husband and her ___ We pray for Marjorie in New Mexico and her cousins’ children, who’s mom passed away, we just pray that You would be with them as they continue school and they move forward in their life. We just pray that Your will, will be done for them. We pray for David and Jay, Slave of Jesus’ friends with cancer, we lift them up to You today. We pray for healing over their bodies Lord. We pray for the man in the woods who called in, he is struggling with memory and we just pray healing over his mind, over his body. We just lift him up to You Lord and we ask that You will just come and wash over him and restore his body to function the way you created it to function Lord. We pray for David from Texas who’s struggling with his job and his marriage. We pray that You will just provide for him, he is, he’s just trying to be a good father and provide for his family and his daughter who’s graduating. So, just lift him up to You Lord. And we pray that You will provide. In Jesus name, Amen.

Hello, Daily Audio Bible family, my name is Robbie. I’m from the Nirule, Canada. And this is my first prayer request. I began listening to the Daily Audio Bible about three or four days ago thanks to my dear friend in the faith and brother in Christ Jeremy, thank you Jeremy. The church I’m going to right now, the mission statement is to know Him, that He be known and that’s my prayer request that I want to know Jesus so that He is known, through me. I want to know how to contribute with whatever gifts I may have and I want to hear His voice. Jesus said my sheep hear my voice and I still, even after five years and I was actually raised in the Catholic Church so, I guess you could say my whole life but I, at a Baptist Church became born again. I’ve been baptized as an adult and so I would just really love to know the voice, my Lord and Savior. I think I need to know Him so that He will be known, that’s my prayer. Thank you, God Bless You.

Good morning Daily Audio Bible Community. This is Diane Olive Brown and Jeff, my husband. And it is about 1am on Thursday March 31st, I believe, 2022 Central time. Shalom, shalom, that’s Jewish for nothing is missing, nothing is broken. I’m reaching out to a guy who said that, called himself a misfit and spoke of how his journey has been different from everybody else as he’s tried this, tried Wickin, tried Conservative Christians. And mentioned how they made him hate himself. I just wanted to reach out to you and say that the Bible says that the love of God leads us into repentance. And I can vouch for that and I can say I’ve been in love with Jesus from the time I was two years old. But I’ve also failed Him mightily. And sinned greatly. And I’m gonna be praying for you. And I don’t want you to call yourself a misfit but reach out, reach out to Jesus. His love, His love will reach out to you. Give Him time and His word. Continue to read and listen to the Daily Audio Bible and the commentary and this group, this group of Christians.

Hey everybody, this is Addicted to Christ in Alabama, making a call. I’ve been listening for a few months again, now. I’ve been listening for 15 years, not solid, off and on, I go for long spurts and listen and then you know, go for short times where I would, I would allow drugs or really just it was always drugs or some form of stupidity like that would get me wrapped up and try to kill me but I’ll tell you what, there is someone who called today, this is Thursday the 31st and Spiritual Misfit is what I’m gonna call you. You didn’t give us your name but you called and you said that your church uses the Bible to make you hate yourself, I think is how you put or make you feel like you’re not good. I forgot exactly how you said it but man, I connected with you Spiritual Misfit. You said that you didn’t fit neatly into the Christian category. The Christian category isn’t neat. None of us fit neatly into it. If you look at the disciples, they were all misfits, that we all knuckleheads. He didn’t come for the perfect ones, He didn’t come for the ones that fit neatly into any category. He was the one that didn’t fit into a category, He broke the categories, He came for us. He came for the wild ones. He is wild at heart and man I connected with your call. I’m praying for you. It sounds like we need to find you a new church. I’m just saying, churches are hard for me man. Nondenominational, Jesus never said anything about four walls and a door, you know. He said we are the church.

Deuteronomy 21:1-22:30, Luke 9:51-10:12, Psalms 74:1-23, Provers 12:11

Today is the 2nd day of April welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I am Brian is great to be here with you as we get ourselves moved into this fourth month already, the second quarter of the year. And I’m so happy to be here with you, so happy that we’ve made it this far together and that there’s so much out in front of us to learn together step-by-step day by day. So, we’re bringing another one of our weeks were close even are we’re moving into a brand-new month. We’ve been reading from the New International Version this week and continuing our journey through the book of Deuteronomy today. Chapters 21 and 22.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word. And Jesus we love You and one of the things that we learned today is that You love us and this is an all or nothing proposition. Following You requires that we lay down everything and follow You. It requires that we surrender and humble ourselves before You, that we trust You, that we are in a relationship with You. We’re not on a fling with You. We’re not supposed to be fair weather friends or part-time lovers. We are in covenant with You, which means that our allegiance is completely to You. Our loyalty is to You and Your loyalty is to us. Forgive us for all of the times that we have broken faith and walked away in some other direction and been rebellious and been adulteress. This is an all or nothing thing. All that we are, given to You. All that You are given to us. And why You would make some kind of trade like that and why You would love us so deeply really is a mystery but we believe that it is the truth. And, so, our part is to be loyal and in covenant with You. Come Holy Spirit and allow this to sink deep, deep into the soil of our hearts an ever present awareness and understanding. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Deuteronomy 18:1-20:20, Luke 9:28-50, Psalm 73:1-28, Proverbs 12:10

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible, I’m Brian and today is April 1st, it is April Fools’ Day. So, I bet a lot of people are tricking each other. Today, on this very good day, today is the first day of April, it’s the month of Easter the day when Jesus rose from his tomb. Today, we are reading in the today we’re reading in Luke 9:28 through 50. And we’ll be doing that right after we read from the book of Deuteronomy in the Old Testament. Had to change my voice back from my childhood voice. Strange things happen around the Daily Audio Bible on the first day of April, so let’s dive into our reading for today, Deuteronomy chapters 18, 19 and 20.

Commentary:

Thanks for being here today’s Ezekiel. Ezekiel: You’re welcome. Brian: Do you think we fooled anybody? Ezekiel: I think so. Brian: I think we might have fooled people. They may be like, what is this, what’s going on here. But you’ve been reading for Daily Audio Bible Kids now and this is your second year. How’s that going? Ezekiel: Good. Brian: Things are going really, really well at Daily Audio Bible Kids. Have you learned a lot now that you’ve read through the whole New Testament? Ezekiel: Uh huh. Brian: A lot of things about Jesus. Ezekiel: Uh huh. Brian: I loved what you read from the Gospel today because Jesus was with little children and he took the little child and he had a little child stand beside him and then He said, whoever welcomes this little child in my name, welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me, welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all, who is the greatest. And so, you are very, very valuable. All the kids out there very, very, very, very valuable in God’s kingdom. I like that part today. Ezekiel: Yeah, me too. Brian: Well, thank you for being here on April 1st. Ezekiel: You’re welcome. Brian: And sharing your reading with us. We love you. Ezekiel: You’re welcome. Brian: And we’ll have you back again soon. Ezekiel: Okay. Brian: All right, bye. Ezekiel: Byyyyye

Prayer:

And father, we thank You for Your word and an opportunity on this day to switch things up a little bit of fun. Thank You for that. Thank You for the rich reminder of children in your kingdom and how valuable they are and may we pay attention to that as grown-ups, as adults, as parents that we are holding the future of God’s kingdom in our hands. You have entrusted us in such a way that we love it, but we don’t deserve it and may we really truly embrace the fact that this is what comes next. These children of ours, they are what comes next, not only in this world, but in Your kingdom and so may we store this treasure well, we pray in the precious name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

Prayer and Encouragements:

Hello, this is Ben from Minnesota. Say I called about six weeks ago and was talking about how my wife and I are heading to Liberia to adopt a child. And we are still here and it’s taken quite a bit longer what we anticipated and there’s some, some challenges on the US immigration side and our case has been sent to Washington DC to be reviewed and we’re kind of holding steady here. We’ve had some health issues that my wife had a health scare and I had some health challenges probably partly because of the stress and we we’re really hoping that will hear something this week and it will be good news and we’ll be able to head home soon. Some things in DC are probably delayed because of the War in Ukraine so there’s, there’s lots of moving pieces but we’d appreciate prayer for the US consulate here and whoever’s reviewing our case in DC for favor and blessing and grace to move forward quickly and for good news soon. So, thanks very much, we appreciated it or we appreciate it again. We were, we were expecting to be here about 3 to 4 weeks and were at 5 ½ and kind of no end in sight or no clear end in sight. So, thanks again. All the best, love ya’ll, bye.

Hello, this message is for a gentleman who called to show that he and his wife have been married 59 years. And I want to say congratulations and God bless the two of you. You asked for prayer for your, yourself and your wife because you’re up in age and you mentioned that you never know when you’re gonna go, but sir, I am praying for you and I and your wife and your family children your 38 grandchildren, that’s amazing. God bless you sir, God bless you, your health, body, mind and spirit, all that you are, you and your wife. And your children are so blessed to have the two of you together in their lives. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, you have longer days with your family. I pray for your heart. I pray peace for you and I pray that you just feel amazing renewal in your body. I pray for your heart and your mind, sir. God bless you. Also pray for Alisha, your father just passed away at 92 years old. That’s a long time. It’s a blessing to have your father in your life and you had a hard time with religion and violence and so forth. And I pray for your heart as well. Pray for restoration. I pray that your blessed with great memories. I pray for healing. I pray for your days ahead and that yes, you know, the Lord deeply more deeper as your father God in heaven and earth that you will be reminded your loved by our heavenly Father. Jesus name. Amen.

Good morning Daily Audio Bible family this is John O’Connor. I usually call in from South Sudan but right now I am at Heathrow airport in UK, in London to on my way back to South Sudan. I’ve spent two weeks in the US and two weeks in UK with my family and that has been glorious. Thank you for everyone who pray for me and the I am also following with the I am so excited to hear Michael the son of Diana Davis that passed away about two years ago. And I’m sorry that their struggling at this time with the Elijah having issues but I am standing with you guys in prayer and God is not asleep. He is awake and He will do what He does best. He will step into your situation and bring to bear the grace of God in your life. May God bless you and also I would like to announce that my retirement has been determined and that will be June 30 2024. So, I have a little over a year, two years to go and I need prayer for that.

Hello, Daily Audio Bible. So, I have been listening for over a decade and you can just call me, I’m a Lady and my mom is really, really not well. I’ve never called before, huge supporter of DAB. But I’m asking all the prayer warriors to please pray for her. She’s unable to eat and she is very weak. So, I would really appreciate if you guys would pray for her. I’m not ready to lose my mom ye. I’m fairly young, this came up kind of out of no where. But she’s also being heavily spiritually attacked and so I’ve been fasting and me and my sisters are really, really exhausted. Just up all night so I’m begging and asking for you guys to pray for her and that the power of prayer for a speedy recovery in a supernatural recovery and to release from spiritual attack. Ask the Lord, tell her to eat and to allow her to drink. She is a Devine Saint. And very amazing and loves us very much. So, this kind of came out of nowhere so I’m asking everybody for mercy please. Thank you, guys very much and thank you for the DAB, for all that you guys do. It’s been over a decade, I listen every morning, quietly. And so, yeah, for the first time calling. Cause I feel like I need a prayer warriors and step into this matter to ask the Lord to intervene. Okay, thank you.

Hi, Daily Audi Bible family. My name is Vicky from Texas. And first, I’d just like to tell everybody how much I appreciate being part of this community. There’s a number of you who have called in over the last few years and I’ve written your name down on my prayer list and I continue to pray for you, every time I look at that list. I’d also like to ask you please to hold me and my family up in prayers. My mom has mild Alzheimer’s. She wasn’t an easy lady to grow up with any way but the Alzheimer’s has definitely not made it any easier. Our family is living the path that God told us about in the Bible, about how the sins of the Father will be visited upon the children for generations. I don’t know how far back it stretches but I know my great-grandfather was an alcoholic who left his family and that scarred my grandfather. And those scars in turn, made him a rough person for my mom to grow up with, just emotionally unavailable and explosive. And so, my mom is a thousand times better than the parents she grew up with but she even admitted to me once, just after my father died that she walled off her heart, even to my father, even to my brother and I. So, now here she is with her mild Alzheimer’s which only accentuates a lot of the personality traits that she had and it’s very difficult. Her love is unconditional, but her affection is definitely. She’s always seen me as a rival and somebody to be jealous of instead of someone to be proud of. So, the harder I strived to do well and overachieve in life and gain her love and affection, the more it pushed her away. So now that I’m doing everything I can to take care of her, it’s just even harder to have that affection withheld. So, I would just ask you to hold my mom up, pray for restoration and pray please for me to have the strength to keep carrying on. I love ya’ll.

Deuteronomy 16:1-17:20, Luke 9:7-27, Psalms 72:1-20, Proverbs 12:8-9

Today is the 31st day of March welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I am Brian it’s right to be here with you around the Global Campfire as we take the next step forward. And our next steps forward have led us to this day, which is the final day of the third month of the year. So, when we finish today’s reading and we have completed 25% of our journey. Hard to believe at least for me. Feels like we just got going, but that’s normal. I’ve done this like enough years to know, like how does that happen. But here we are, end of the first quarter of the year and that leads us back to where we left off yesterday in the book of Deuteronomy. We’re reading from the New International Version this week. Deuteronomy chapters 16 and 17 today.

Commentary:

Okay, a couple of things from our reading today as we conclude the third month on our journey together. First from the gospel of Luke, we come to the central question of the Gospels really, a question that it seems like the Gospels are all leading us to be asked and we must answer. And that is, “who do you say that I am?” So, we have this story in other Gospels. In other places were told Jesus on His way to Caesarea Philippi and He is more to say about the gates of hell, not prevailing, etc. In the gospel of Luke, Jesus is praying, His friends are with Him. He asks what the crowd…just like what do people assume about me? What are people saying? What’s the story going around about me? And the story that’s going around is that He’s a resurrected John the Baptist, which even, apparently, according to the Scriptures, Herod is kind of on that page because he knows he killed John and now there’s rumors of somebody kinda like that. So, Herod’s wondering if John the Baptist has been resurrected. Some people think that. Others think it’s Elijah, the great prophet of old, that has returned, come back. And they would think that because we’re told in Scripture that Elijah doesn’t die a natural death. He is taken up in a whirlwind to God. So, for them to think this person on this earth who has these powers to heal and power over nature and is spreading good news in awakening the hearts of people, this must be Elijah. And then others think, maybe not Elijah just one of the old prophets of old, long ago has been resurrected and come back to life. That’s what people were thinking about Jesus. We all have been told all kinds of things about Jesus. If we’ve been around the Christian faith very long we’ve been told every conceivable thing to believe about Jesus, but it really still does come down…like no matter what we’ve been told, it does come down to, “who do you say that Jesus is.” And as we complete 25% of our journey as we’re at this place and we’re transitioning into a new month and a new quarter that’s fair. That’s a fair thing to…to spend the day thinking about. What does my life say? Who do I say…by the way that I am living who do I say that Jesus is? That can be a very very deep question. It’s supposed to be. We find it repeatedly in the New Testament. We’re supposed to answer this question. And, so, let’s spend some time with that today.

And then from the book of Proverbs. “Better to be in nobody and yet have a servant then pretend to be somebody and have no food.” Right? Pretending to be what you are not, how has that ever really worked out to your advantage? Whether it’s that were pretending to have more than we do, or any other kind of posturing that human beings are capable of, if we would just push pause for a second and think about that. That kind of behavior, those behaviors when we’re more posturing, what we are doing is presenting a falsehood as a truth about us. In other words, we’re lying about ourselves to everybody so that they’ll think we’re something different than we actually are. That is not freedom. That is false. That is presenting something false that…that we have to try to keep pretending, keep it going. When we are given permission to be who we are and chase after God who cares what people think? Chase after God into complete freedom. We’re we really don’t care. We are utterly dependent upon God. There is only one to please here. And we cannot put up a false posture affront to God. He sees right through it all. We cannot fake our way with odd even though we try. God sees us as we are and loves us and that is a life changer. We don’t have to be anything else. And pretending is lying. And, so, there’s some things for us to think about as we end our first quarter together.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, we invite You into all of these things. Who do we say that You are? If we are putting out a false image of who we are then we are certainly not able to put out true perspective of who You are in our lives. And, so, these things are connected, and we need You because we are so intertwined. We are so stiff necked. We are…we are a lot of things and as much as we try, we can’t even figure ourselves out. And, so, we need You. We need You completely. We confess our absolute need for You. More than ever, we need You. Come Jesus and lead us into the truth, the truth about who we are, the truth about who You are and may the truth flow from us into this world we pray. In the name of Jesus, we ask. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:

Hey DAB fam I can use prayer to pray more. This is Mike in New York and, yeah, I just haven’t been spending time really just talking and listening to God. And when I do think about it I start to just pray or talk and then I get interrupted. And I just don’t prioritize time to go and spend with Jesus. Yeah, just decisions to make in how to succeed down the path of life, you know, to get a job and do something to get more money to be able to do more things and make a charity. I mean, you know behind there there’s like an aspect of charity and love and how it will benefit other people and then there’s also the aspect of me just being selfish like all of us are, just wanting more for myself. And, yeah, I just gotta listen to God more. I gotta talk to Him, I gotta listen. Yeah. So, I ask for prayer to help me do that, to help me prioritize and remember. ‘cause really is remembering. Like I wake up and I’ll with the new puppy and I don’t remember to go spend time with God or I put on a video game, or I do something else as opposed to just being, you know, a child of the Lord of Yahweh and being with Him talking to him. So, pray for me for that. Thank you. Bye bye.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family this is Renzo in Florida and I just want to say just thank you to the Daily Audio Bible family. Thank you to all the DABbers. Thank you for His Sojourner Lord God. Thank you for all the encouragers and just thank you guys for your encouragement and thank you guys for all of your prayers praying for everybody. This is a real community. I just thank God that my aunt was able to share with me this app and I just…I just wanna pray for…I wanna pray for the Michael and Elijah and I just thank all they for their encouragement that she was basically saying for their family and I. Thanks Susan for prayers for all the other people in the DAB community and for their encouragement and for everybody’s encouragement Lord God. But let me start off. Father God, I just thank You for all the encouragement that You have in this community. And Father God I just pray for Michael, and I pray for Elijah. I pray for Elijah especially in his school. Let him to just be a light in the darkness Lord God. Let him to just keep shining Your light. Let him to be a positive influence to others. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. God bless you guys. I love you guys. Bye.

Hey DAB, Zach here. I’m a four-year listener and I just wanna say thanks to the Hardin family for all your work. So, my wife is in the last few weeks of pregnancy with our third kid, and she seems to be struggling a lot. This has been a rough pregnancy for her. So, I’d love it if you guys could pray for her and just keep her in her your hearts. I really try to help her out as best I can but in the end she’s just having a hard time. So, thank you and have a wonderful day.

Hello, DAB I wanna say thanks for being there for spiritual misfits like myself. I’m really not sure what I believe. I’ve gone down a lot of paths from ultra conservative Christian, progressive, Christian atheist, wiccan and I’m still not sure I fit neatly into the Christian umbrella. I do know that every time I’ve been in a dark place the only thing that kept me from hurting myself was believing Jesus loved me. So, my theology’s probably a lot different than most people listening to this but I’m glad to be able to listen and hear the Bible as a force for good instead of a weapon used by my church to make me hate myself. I’m on a journey, but I’m trying to find happiness and peace instead of fear and self-judgment. Thank you and have a great day.

Hi everyone, it’s Christy from Kentucky I wanted to call today to talk to Whitney and to Vicki into Latisha. First of all, I just wanted to say for Whitney, and Vicki I have been holding your close at heart and I am praying for you sisters. I lost both my parents and 2017 five months apart and I…I can’t even put words to the grief that I experienced and continue to experience at times. Yet I know that God is love and that my mom and daddy’s blood runs through my veins and that their love is still alive because I know the word says that love never dies. So, never ends. So, knowing that my heavenly Father loves me and knowing that my parents were such good parents, and I was so blessed. Latisha, I wanted to let you know sister that I am thinking of you and praying for you. The love your daddy’s so so apparent in your call and I just want you to know that that love is precious. Hold onto it. Hold onto it forever. Also, I wanted to speak to the husbands and wives. The gentleman that called in that’s celebrating 60 years of marriage…almost…congratulations, that’s awesome. 38 grandchildren and great grandchildren? Oh my! I had to stop and go back to just to make sure I heard that correctly. So, I know you said you had your ups and downs in your marriage as all marriages do you. But I just thank you for your testimony of how you worked it out because it is a covenant that we make to one another that we should not just throw aside. We need to really work on our marriages when we’re having a hard time. It’s an example not only to your children and your children…children and great grandchildren but your it’s a testimony for us. God bless you.

Deuteronomy 13:1-15:23, Luke 8:40-9:6, Psalm 71:1-24, Proverbs 12:5-7

Today is the 30th day of March, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian, it’s great to be here with you as we well, this is the eve of the end of the third month of the year. So, it’s great to be here with you today as we gather around the Global Campfire and take the next step forward, which leads us back into the book of Deuteronomy. As we continue to listen, to and glean from the final discourses of Moses or, well before a new leader takes over. We’re reading from the New International Version this week, Deuteronomy chapters 13, 14 and 15 today.

Commentary:

Okay so, in the book of Deuteronomy, we once again, address idolatry. And we’ve talked about idolatry before and idolatry, that’s a word that’s like, it’s like an old-fashioned word or something. Nobody thinks of worshiping idols. I shouldn’t say nobody because idol worship certainly does exist in the world today, but generally speaking, people don’t have idols in their yards that they actually sacrifice animals to and believe in. And so, the concept can seem foreign to our life experience. Let’s go back into the book of Deuteronomy though where it’s not a foreign concept because what’s happening here, among the children of Israel is the rise of what we now know of as monotheism: that there is one God, the most high. In the cultures surrounding the children of Israel, in the known world, polytheism was the norm: the belief that there are many gods, doing many things, good gods, mischievous gods, gods the need to be appeased, gods of fertility, gods of agriculture, gods of war but there were also the local tribal gods, the gods of the nations surrounding the children of Israel and it was believe that these gods need to be appeased. And so, that could happen through sacrifice or any number of things as we have learned in the book of Deuteronomy and some cases children were sacrificed to these false idols. So, for a brand-new emerging culture in the world, worshiping one God, the most high God, the only God, the one God, right here oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. This is very different kind of thinking and God, the most high God, has revealed to this people that He has chosen and set apart as holy, He has revealed to them that through them, He is going to reveal Himself to all the nations. So, if the children of Israel go into a new land and are seduced away into idolatry and idol worship and begin sacrificing to false gods, then that’s not going to happen. And so, when we come into the 13th chapter of Deuteronomy today and we read if a prophet or one who foretells my dreams appears among you, and announces to you a sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder spoken of, takes place, I mean, we could just stop right there because even in our modern world, if that happens we are probably paying attention, we are looking at the gift or the sign as the sign that the most high God is present in the thing. However, we have ancient wisdom being passed to us from Deuteronomy that says if that profit, even the one who foretold the future and it came true or a wonder happened and you saw the sign, if that profit says let us follow other gods and let us worship them, well then people are not listen to the words of that Prophet or dreamer. So, let’s just take a step back and kind of dissect this a little bit in a way that we could kind of lay on the table and understand it in our context. We certainly would pay attention to a sign and a wonder but if at that point we realize that we are being led away from God and not deeper into our relationship with God and it shouldn’t be a super ambiguous thing for us. We know God, right. We walk with God, right. God indwells us, right. Like, we’re in a relationship right, and when we know somebody and somebody tells us something that’s incorrect about that person, we can say I know that person, I know that’s not true. I know that’s not true. And so, we have it within us to discern but the magic can certainly be a distraction. And so, if it’s smoke and lights and rock ‘n’ roll and signs and wonders that is ultimately pulling us away from God, it’s pulling us into idolatry, it is pulling us into giving our heart to something else, hoping that that’s something else will rescue us or make us prosperous or deliver what it is we’re looking for. The ancients would’ve been looking for fertility or rain for the crops or a bountiful harvest or the things that would make them survive and thrive and be strong. We look for similar things, we just look for them in promotions and raises and anything that would make us more comfortable. If those things, whether through signs or wonders are not, are leading us away from God, they are leading us into idolatry. And in this culture, this emerging culture, the children of Israel, idolatry is a capital offense. We could roll our eyes and go like that is barbaric but when we understand that the most high God set aside a people to reveal himself to the nations through and to establish a culture that rose above all of the other ones and pulled all of humanity forward. Then we begin to understand if the people are going to be seduced away into idolatry by whatever means, the whole thing will begin to crumble, which we will get to see very clearly, which allows us to think, how do I want to end up here? Crumbled or thriving, which brings us back to the lesson of the wilderness, we are utterly dependent upon the most high God and we live because He breathed life into us. He may not act like He’s our servant every time we ask Him to do something, probably because He’s not our servant, we’re His servant. But there is nothing, no thing, no company, no business, no person, no set of assets that can ultimately save us. In the end, no matter how we play it, we are utterly dependent upon God. And that becomes a mindset and like a heart posture and when we are living in that space from that place, we feel safe and free because what can anybody do to us. I mean, even if they take our lives from us, that’s not the end of anything. But nothing else, no other idle, no other thing that we give our heart to, can deliver on that. It will all fail eventually. And so once again we are challenged by the concept of idolatry in our lives and if we invite the Holy Spirit, we can see the ways that we turned other things, hoping for security. And turning to things and trying to build up things for security etc. etc. like that’s not necessarily a bad thing, other than when it’s between us and God. When we are dependent upon this other thing over God and that’s a recipe for disaster. And so, let’s give that some thought today because that is what is coming up in the Scriptures today. This is very, very, very important thing for Moses to say to the people because he’s not going to be there to say it anymore. And so, he is saying it now so that it didn’t go unsaid. Let’s not let it blow by us, let’s give it gravity.

Prayer:

And so, Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You for the counsel that we are receiving from the Scriptures today, that when we give our hearts in expectation for some sort of return and that dependence is greater than our utter dependence upon You and we have an idol and we may not sacrifice animals to it and it may not even be a tangible thing, but it is something between us and we don’t want that. So, Holy Spirit, come lead us into all truth, even the truth about ways that we offer our hearts and ourselves, the things that are false. We pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer and Encouragements:

Hello, DAB family, my name is Talifa from London. I’m a single mother of a 10-year-old boy. He currently acts and he just landed an amazing role with Disney and he wants to tour. Now, the reason why I want prayers is cause I’ve heard some crazy stuff that happens on tour. He’s only 10-years-old and I really want prayers for my magnificent son Josiah because it’s just been me, him and Jesus. And I am just trying to let go and let God because this is an amazing opportunity. So family, please, like the bible says, when two or three are gathered and they agree, I want us to pray that he’s gonna be fine. I want the Lord to continuously be on my son and just thank you Brian for bringing me closer to Christ. Because at the beginning of the year I feel like I want to read the bible in this platform and it’s absolutely amazing. God Bless you DAB family and please pray for my magnificent son, Josiah. And for all the single mums out there, I see you, God see’s you and I always reference the scripture of Haggai when she was in the wilderness. Look up, look up, cause there is a fountain of water in Christ. Thank you family. Love you, Talifa. Bye.

Hey DAB fam, this is Dustin in the Bay Area. Today, is March 26th I want to lift up Michael and his brother Elijah, your cousin and your niece, you’re all living together. And it sounds like there’s some stresses that you’re all feeling in different way. I just want to lift you guys up. Dear Father, we lift up Michael, his brother Elijah, their cousin and their niece as they live together. Father, we lift up Elijah, we just ask Your Holy Spirit would reveal You to him and just bring him peace so that he would stop acting out in class, and other settings, Father. We lift up their cousin to You, the one who is working hard to provide, to provide a roof over their head. Father, we just ask that Your Holy Spirit would just please bless him. Good morning Daily Audio Bible family, this is Free and Forgiven in Florida. I just want to thank Rebecca. Rebecca, dear sister, thank you for calling on March 19 with your prayer for the single people, that broke me. I sat here and sobbed. I am also single and it just felt amazing to hear your prayer and of course I know I’m not the only one but it just validated so much of what I deal with. Just knowing that you had the love and sympathy to call and it was in response to another prayer request for a single person and I remember that call and that also brought me because I can so relate. So, it is something I struggle with also and I try to understand and not listen to the voice that says what’s wrong with me, why am I still single. But I’m learning that it’s become somewhat, it has become an idle for me and I’m working on laying that down and just spending my time and my thoughts and my energy in the Lord and honestly in this community. Thank you for praying I love you.

Good afternoon DAB community. This is His Wondering Child calling from Canada. Today’s date is Saturday, March 26th. And I’m calling just to say thank you, thank you to Brian and to China and Jill and Ezekiel, thank you so much for answering the call that God has placed on your life. This is an awesome ministry and it’s blessing so many around this world and you can hear it through the prayers that people call in for one another and you can see the hand of God in all of this. And I truly believe that if we were all together and we were seeing one another that the only thing that we would do is look at each other through the eyes of love, through the eyes of Jesus. No condemnation. And I believe that with all of my heart because I believe that the Lord has brought me to this family so that I could be healed. All of those deep wounds that have been there since childhood I see them unfolding through prayers or testimonies that people are saying in this community. So, I thank each and every one of you for calling in and for being such a blessing. And may God continue to bless you and use you.

Father God in the name of Jesus. Thank God for this ministry. I have never heard teaching so bright, raw, wide-open, pure and true and full of life and just so filled with Your Spirit, Father. I ask that you bless Brian and Jill and China and their family, Ezekiel and all the ones behind the scenes. I’ve been a Christian for quite a long time, been lots of teachings, Bible studies, faithful many, many, many years in a church and I’ve never heard this type of teaching and ministry. So, I pray that you sew into this ministry, pray about what you can give into it, pray about what you can do for it, pray about how you can bless others, help others by calling in. I just pray that this ministry would be on the top of your list every day. The word of God would just bless you, encourage you and as you abide in him that He would just open the doors life. This changed my life completely and continuously, it’s nonstop. Jesus has something for you every day, every moment and I thank God for this Brian and Jill. I ask Jesus bless you and everything you do and put your hand to, bless your voices and your eyes and ears. In Jesus name I pray.

Deuteronomy 11:1-12:32, Luke 8:22-39, Psalms 70:1-5, Proverbs 12:4

Today is the 29th day of March welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it’s great to be here with you today. It’s great to be here with you every day. It’s great to have a place to come together. It’s wonderful to be around the Global Campfire as we take the next step forward. And we are reading from the New International version this week, moving our way through the book of Deuteronomy and the final things that Moses has to say. Today chapters 11 and 12.

Commentary:

Okay. A couple of things for us to consider today. Let’s go to the book of Deuteronomy first. Of course, we’ve said it many times, but so as to be redundant so that we don’t forget, Deuteronomy is three discourses given by Moses and these are the last things he has to say to the children of Israel. And, so, in today’s reading that somewhat gets encapsulated because he’s doing a lot of reviews of laws, a lot of the customs and rituals and how they should be done once the children of Israel leave the wilderness and go into the promised land. And of course, he is speaking this to the second generation, the children that grew up wandering in the wilderness. So, there is some review here, but it’s all aimed at something. And he says and I quote, “See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse. The blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn away from the way that I command you today by following other gods which you have not known.” But of course, he is referring to idolatry, which in this context is turning to another God and asking that God to rescue you from what the most high God is doing. Sort of to take over and carry the people forward. And there are many different gods in the land that they are going into. This morning we could be like, “dah, of course, they get it. They get it they’ve learned in the wilderness. They understand.” But as we see this warning was important and they did not listen to this morning. But Moses has been really clear about what they need to look out for, what they really need to be vigilant about. And of course, that is to obey the commands that have been revealed. But beyond that their most dangerous moments will be once they have conquered this promised land and are at peace and experiencing prosperity. That is the moment where they will find themselves most vulnerable to turning to false gods or to declaring that they accomplished all of it in their own strength by their own ingenuity. They are just that awesome. Of course, we’ve got a lot of the story left to tell and we’ll see how this goes. We’ll be seeing how this goes most of the rest of the year. But it does give us a moment of pause and reflection because when we’re in a wilderness season we may be learning to be utterly dependent upon the Lord but what we want is to get out of the wilderness and into the promised land, into a place where there is peace and prosperity. Without having this background here watching the children of Israel as they are approaching the time that they will leave the wilderness and go into the promised land we can walk into these situations blind as well. And we can find that we experience God’s blessing in our lives and then, suddenly, over time, claim glory for it as if we did it or turn to something else that we are depending on to sustain the prosperity as if it is our God and sustainer and hope, which is catastrophic, as we’ll see in this story. And, so, we should take this to heart. What are we turning to for life and sustenance? What has our loyalty and allegiance? Maybe even more directly, what would we give our heart to in exchange for the promise of blessing and prosperity? And if we would say we would give our hearts to the Lord in exchange for that, then we have simply exposed that God is a transaction for us. Our good behavior in exchange for His raining down blessings upon us, that’s not really how relationships work.

There’s also something really riveting, and it really does become a mirror in our lives in the gospel of Luke today. So, Jesus has been doing a lot of ministry and He’s tired, maybe even exhausted, and He has asked to be taken to the other side of the Sea of Galilee and He’s resting in this boat, sleeping when this storm comes up and they’re waking Him up and they’re going to drown, and He calms the storm and asked them where their faith is. And they eventually get to the other side where Jesus steps ashore and is greeted by a demon possessed man. And it’s a famous enough story. The demons are thrown out of the man into a herd of pigs who drown in the sea of Galilee. I don’t pass this story ever. without it penetrating my heart. Jesus had been ministering on the other side of the lake. He’s tired, exhausted, He calms a storm on His way. He gets to the other side, meets this demon possessed man, sets Him free. News spreads to all of the countryside. They come swarming down to the sea of Galilee and see this man is in his right mind and has put on some clothes and they ask Jesus to leave. That’s how the story goes. They saw the power of God to deliver and set free. Obviously miraculous things have happened, and they are afraid, and they ask Jesus to leave. That penetrates my heart every year that we read through this gospel of Luke because we come to this story, this set of passages, and I look back over the last year and I can find places that I’ve done that where I’ve been afraid and in thought, word or deed, in some fashion turned away and effectively asked Jesus to stop doing what He’s doing because I’m afraid or because I don’t understand. And I don’t think I’m alone. I think that’s pretty much all of our stories in one way or another. And, so, this story allows us to examine that. Like on the one hand, in the book of Deuteronomy we can think about what it looks like to be blessed and prosperous and to slowly, subtly, slide away into our own strength. And in the gospel of Luke, we can see God coming and delivering and the response being fear and asking Jesus to leave. The truth is, those are probably both experiences that we’ve had, and they each set us on a path that we don’t want to walk. And, so, we have plenty to think about and plenty of advice from the Scriptures today.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit come. Come into all of this, what we’re learning in the Old Testament, what we’re learning in the New Testament, plant it deep in our lives. Help us to contemplate these things. In what way have we seen You working and responded in fear and turned away and asked You to leave? In what way have we finally, after getting out of the wilderness found a moment of serenity, only to see that we’re sliding away, we’re sliding away and doing things in our own strength again, which just ends up being a big circle. Come Holy Spirit because we want to change, which is in effect what repentance is. So, we repent and turn and move in another direction. But maintaining this course, ahh, we see how we’re unable we are to maintain it without Your Holy Spirit’s guidance. And, so, come Holy Spirit and the lead us into all truth. And it’s not as if You aren’t doing that all the time but come Holy Spirit and help us pay attention. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:

Hello, my family DAB this is New Envision Growth from New York and I’m calling for a praise report. I was listening to the March 24th podcast when Brian was talking about forgiveness and not being judged and still thinking about the call that came in about the bully and dealing with my own situation in work. And, you know, sometimes it’s so difficult when you’re working with people who don’t believe or people just…especially when you can discern and just the weight and the heaviness of it all. And that’s the case for me where I literally have to deal with almost like darts of attack. But hearing that podcast on March 24th I did something different. And I just prayed that God would change me, change my heart. If…if it is not going to be done for the person who tries to torment me then change me. And after listening to the podcast, I went inside and I looked at the individual and I actually asked a person for a hug. And I’m telling you it was like yokes were broken. And the whole…it shifted the entire atmosphere because I had to remember at the end of the day that this person is just a vessel. I can love them with the love of Christ and just hate the spirit that operates. But I left no room for the devil to torment me anymore. And I just felt so light. So, I’m praying that that might be or help someone else use that same method because it truly does work. Pray that God would change you, change your heart and then remember that that person is just a vessel for the evil one to use. Anyway, that’s it. Thank you I love you guys I love this. Thank you, Brian and the Hardin family.

Good morning DAB family this is Danny from Southern Oregon just calling to pray for some of the DABbers. Cat from Denver you called in on February 26th and you were praying for parents who have lost their children to the legal system. And I so resonated with your prayer request. We are two plus years into the legal system and you’re so right. It is not the justice system. And we thought we were in the clear but now we have a notice to appear on April 11th. And, so, if everybody could pray for my son Isaiah. This is something that happened last fall and the juvenile department decided not to prosecute but the DA’s office picked it up and wants it prosecuted. He got in a fight with another kid. And anyway they’re charging him with an assault 3 and that’s a felony and I think it could be up to two years in jail. And Isaiah’s just been doing so amazingly well. He’s been working full time. He’s starting a college welding class on Tuesday, and he’s really matured and grown up. And, so, I just I know that everything that happens to him is just one step closer to him submitting his life to the Lord. And, so, I just pray for this path also to, you know, just be going straight towards surrendering his life to the Lord. Candace from Oregon I am just praying for you sister, praying for Micah and thank you for calling in. And Cleverly Sati in Tennessee, you also called in and you said that you had lost your dad and you were in pain, and you stopped listening but you’re a back. And I’m so glad. Welcome back and we love you and stick with it. Love you all DABbers. This is Danny. Bye.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening DAB family wherever you are all over the world. This is Matthew from the United Kingdom. I am here to pray especially for Grace. It’s been in my heart and it’s heavy on my heart to pray for you. I have been praying in the background, but I believe the Lord wants you to hear me pray for you. Let us pray Family. Father in the name of Jesus I lift up Grace before You. Father, just as her name goes, let Your grace be with her. Father, I lift up Grace before You against the power of fear. Father Grace will go forth and the Spirit of power of love and have sound mind against her enemies, against her bullies. Father for You have not given us a spirit of fear, You’ve given us a spirit of power and love and of sound mind. I go in offensive against her bullies, and I declare, and I release the rock of David that crushes every Goliath in the life of Grace, that Grace Lord will enjoy love, will enjoy peace wherever she is in the name of Jesus. Father I also lift up those bullies before You that Lord that You’ll change their heart and fill them with Your love, that they will live together with Grace and dwell together in love with Grace in the name of Jesus. Thank You, Lord for…

Hi this is Donna from California and today is March 25th I just finished listening to today’s podcast with the…the beautiful story in the gospel of Luke about the Roman soldier who told Jesus don’t bother coming to my house, I don’t deserve it, I’m unworthy. And then Brian her commentary was so apt about the posture of heart that we need to cultivate and…and have. No, I don’t deserve anything other than eternal separation from God. And I’m calling today to ask for prayers for myself. I’ve been trying and continue to strive toward forgiving someone who hurt me very deeply many years ago. It’s been 10 years now; a decade and the memories are still very much there of being deceived and lied to and feeling worthless because of that. I’m seeing myself through that experience as worthless. And every time the memories come up, which is daily, I say to the Lord I forgive you, I forgive this person, help me to forgive this person. Help me in my unbelief that that I can forgive this person. Help me to remember that I’m unworthy of…of…of your forgiveness. And, so, it’s very very difficult and I asked for my brothers and sisters to please hold me up in prayer as I…as I continue. And I thank you so much. Thank You, Jesus. I love You and I praise You for You alone are worthy. Thank You. Amen.

Hi this is Victoria Soldier calling to pray for some of the DABbers. I wanna pray for Claribel. I wanna pray for Renee who’s going through in her marriage. And I also wanna pray for Emmy…Emmy in Illinois on the update of her marriage. I just want to pray for them and I want to also pray for someone else but I want to pray for the marriages and those who are going through and those who are wanting to have babies and I want to pray for that young woman who wanted to be married but right now I’m gonna start praying for the marriages. Gracious Father we just ask You today to touch these marriages Father. You be in the midst. You said a sanctified woman sanctifies her husband. You said a sanctified man sanctifies his wife. Father You be in the middle Lord. You sanctify them and You come into that marriage Lord. You bless in a mighty and special way. Let Your Holy Spirit reign. You said what You put together Lord no don’t let no man put asunder. Father, You have Your way in the name of Jesus. You teach man to be the man You’re calling him to be and the woman the one You’re calling them to be and bring them together as one Lord. Continue and even in the marriages Lord, You bless them, Lord and You touch them You bless them that they will be blessed by their children in the name of Jesus. Lord, we just thank You Lord. We just ask You to touch the…the one that is going through with…with the nodules in their neck. The ones that are sick with the nodules in their neck I just ask You to touch right now…

Deuteronomy 9:1-10:22, Luke 8:4-21, Psalm 69:19-36, Proverbs 12:2-3

Today is the 28th day of March, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it is a joy and a privilege and an honor to gather together with you today. How are you? I hope all is well with you and your soul, and no matter what is going on, we…we come in here, into this oasis, this little place, this little serene space that we call the Global Campfire, where no matter what time of day or night it is, no matter when it is, no matter when we’re listening, someone else is too. No matter what day it is, we’re never alone here around the Global Campfire and so, let’s just exhale, we can do this, but as we’re learning really clearly in the Scriptures, we can do this with God, without God we won’t be able to do much of anything. And so, let’s relax, allow the Scriptures to speak into our lives today and it will lead us back into the Book of Deuteronomy where Moses is saying what he needs to say, leaving nothing left unsaid, before he becomes a part of the history of the children of Israel, instead of their leader. He’s about to recede into history. These are the last things that he wants to make sure he gets said and so we pick up that story, Deuteronomy chapters 9 and 10 today.

Commentary:

Okay, so we are with the children of Israel, as it were. We are in the crowd with the children of Israel and Moses is speaking to the children of Israel all of the things that he needs to say, leaving nothing left unsaid so, that as he goes to his own grave, his heart is pure, before the people, his heart is pure before the Lord. And he says some things today that are very direct and are incredibly appropriate to our own faith journey, our life and this, in so many ways come down to expectations, and feelings of entitlement. So, the children of Israel have a long-running promise. Their expectation is that that promise will be fulfilled. Although they have grumbled every step of the way against the promise and have continually, repeatedly longed for the good of the old days of slavery. So, we can see that the fulfillment of this promise goes through the wilderness and now the wilderness has lasted a lot longer than they expected it to. Why is that? Because of their own rebelliousness, because of their own lack of faith in God, which fundamentally is the message of the wilderness, that there is no other hope besides God for any kind of future. So, there is the expectation of the fulfillment of a long-running, centuries long-running promise but there is also this sense that they deserve this promise because they have to go through the wilderness. Now, they’re entitled to this promise and if God doesn’t come through well, then it’s God’s fault, because it certainly can’t be anything that we’ve done to thwart it. And we can see how this is starting to become a mirror and reflect so many of the paths and trails that we’ve taken in our lives. And so, I quote Moses “after the Lord your God is driven them out before you do not say to yourself, the Lord has brought me here to take possession of this land because of my righteousness. No, it is on account of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is going to drive them out before you. It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going into take possession of their land but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Understand then that it is not because of your righteousness, that the Lord your God is giving you this good land to possess, for you are a stiff-necked people.” So, electricity hadn’t been discovered yet. So, there were no sound reinforcement speakers and Moses wasn’t holding a mic but that’s kind of the moment where Moses could drop the mic and it could reverberate through the speakers and he walks off the stage because there’s a lot there to reflect. They don’t deserve any of it ever. God, who loves them and is fathering them and bringing them into a land, fulfilling a promise that has taken centuries to fulfill and the other folks on the other side of the Jordan have been given every opportunity but have chosen wickedness, repeatedly, habitually over centuries and the end has come. So, when they go into the Promised Land and they begin to conquer the Promised Land, if that’s what’s going to happen. Then they cannot say to themselves, look at how righteous we are, we just can’t lose, we just can’t lose, we’re so holy and set apart to God because that would not be the case, they don’t deserve it. They are a stiff-neck people. And then Moses goes on in his dialogue to show them the ways in which they’ve been stiff-necked people, not the least of which being, building an idol of a calf and worshiping it as the most-high God out in the desert. And so, this kind of gives us an understanding of the tensions that are going on among the people, the things that Moses wants to press into, the wisdom that he feels like he needs to impart before he goes. But the subtleties and the nuances and the things that he are saying really, really bounce out of the Bible into our own lives, into our own motivations, into our own expectations, into our own senses of entitlement from the Lord. Like, if we just be good enough, God has no choice but to deliver for us. When actually, the way this works is that we learn that we are utterly and hopelessly, hopeless without God, we are utterly and completely dependent upon God. When that finally does become the way that we look at things, then we can look at everything through the eyes of gratitude, a grateful heart, fortunate to be here, unbelievable. It’s like we won the cosmic lottery to be able to walk in fellowship and intimacy and relationship with the most-high God, knowing that we are here to serve His purposes and not the other way around.

Prayer:

And so, Father become the heart of gratitude in a moment, acknowledging our utter dependence upon You, knowing that we’ve tried in our own strength, every conceivable way to make life work and we can spin the plates, we become anxious and exhausted and depressed in the process. But we can spin the plates and just try to push through or struggles through or put our shoulder to it, when You’ve given us and easy way, the path of surrender, knowing that we can’t do this, but if we follow You, if we honor You, if we reference You, if we walk with You, wherever we are going, no matter what it looks like, it is good. And so, come Holy Spirit, as we consider this today. We pray, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

And some days feel like the most joyful, contented days, maybe that we’ve ever had and it’s good to rejoice in those times and is also good to know that when we’re kind of feeling down, we’re not alone, we’re in this together and the Prayer Wall is a place where we can go and share out heart. It is also a place we can go and spread encouragement, so check it out, in the app or on the web.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, thank you, thank you. Prayer and Encouragements:

Hello Daily Audio Bible family, I’m a first-time caller. My name is Demetrius I’m calling from the Midwest, Ohio. First-time calling in but just wanted to call in and just say in the short amount of time that I started with the Daily Audio Bible, which was January 2nd of this year, just tremendously amazed at how awesome this is and thank you Brian and your entire family for this platform that you created. I really just wanted to say, it’s just amazing to get reintroduced to strengthening my faith. A goal that I set for this year was to get back more into church, more so strengthen my faith and become more obedient and become more faithful in my word. I’m thus far, it’s been tremendous and I must say prayer works. It truly, truly works. A testimony of it, I personally was in a bad situation, work environment wise. And was just praying for, you know something good and just to be removed from a toxic environment and as of this year, just reading this and staying committed I am now this week I’m in my third week of my brand-new job and it’s just amazing how prayer works and all you have to do is take a few moments to just ask and you shall receive. So, I just want to say thank you to everyone praying for everyone and everyone just stay strong, lifted up and prayerful. Love and blessings.

Oh wow, Brian, you are on fire. March 24th, Luke 6:37 and 38. Stop judging and you will never be judged. Stop condemning and you will never be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. Verse 38, give and you will receive a large quantity, pressed together, shaken down and running over will be put into your pocket, the standards that you use for others that you use will be applied to you. I never realized that verse 38 was straight from the Bible. And Brian your commentary, straight from the Bible. Think about those offenses, the bitterness, the envy, the things that we carry around inside ourselves like their our best friends. Oh my gosh, that stood out to me so much, like their best friends, we do that. And, you know, what has that done to enrich our lives and lead us on the narrow path that that leads to life into freedom. It doesn’t work. And you know, you’re showing us the path Brian, you’re pointing out you know, that and inviting the Holy Spirit to come and help us. Because if we take two steps we get off the path, into a ditch and because we were reactive we have triggers. We won’t be able to navigate on our own so Amen. Holy Spirit come and help us. You know, you have mentioned that Jesus is showing us a path to become free and that we are setting the gauge for our own judgement and that it’s backwards from the way that we do that, from the way we’re designed. We’re not supposed to have complete mental break downs. That was never the plan for us to be a mess, to move in that direction. And we have to get good at letting go of the things that are weighing us down that have captured us, that is putting us into prison. Cause it’s not the way that it’s supposed to be. We need to stop judging people but we need to choose, we need to

Hi there, Daily Audio Bible friends. My names Robin and I’m a Pastor’s wife. And I live in Canada, PEI to be specific. And I’ve been listening to the Daily Audio Bible for quite sometime. I started listening to it originally because I had not been spending enough time in my, in the word and I knew that wasn’t good for my spiritual life. And so, I started listening to the Daily Audio Bible while I worked and God has really used His word, through the Daily Audio Bible to minister to me all these years and it has really helped me grow in my faith and in my walk with the Lord. It’s also helped me to retain His word and I just can’t say enough good things about it. And when I get the opportunity, I do share and encourage others to listen to it as well. I also wanted to pray for Alisha who’s 32 weeks pregnant and has anxious thoughts about dying. When I was in my 30s, I’m 51 now, I went through that as well. It was a time of fear and anxiousness. I had a son and I was afraid of dying and leaving him. But as I drew closed to God and as I worked through it, God ministered to me, He helped me. It didn’t last forever, although when I was in the midst of it, it felt like it was never gonna go away. It did, God showed me, He used little examples throughout the day, like stubbing your toe. If you think about stubbing your toe, you’re not gonna like it all, it’s gonna hurt but when it just happens you deal with the pain and it goes away. I don’t know, that was a little thing that encouraged me. But I pray for you Alisha and I encourage you, don’t worry, this will pass. And, anyway, thanks guys.

Hi, this is Lawrence in California. I’m calling to acknowledge the young man whose brother is autistic and who is having a lot of trouble in the special ed classroom or special ed school. I remember when you called last year when your mom was dying and your hope was that your brother and you would stay together even when she passed away. And it sure seems to me like you have been really serious about that have done a lot to keep your home together for the to two of you. And I pray to Jesus that dear Jesus, would you encourage this young man, give him endurance and fill him up with faith, hope and love. And as to the two young men, live young men, live in the house with them. Grant to them, your comfort, give them security of life and well-being in every way because it sure seems to me that they are good guys and that they are trying so hard to do the right thing all the time. I ask this in your holy name. Amen. Thank you everyone. Bye Bye.

Good morning Daily Audio Bible this is Demetris in Phoenix. Actually, I moved to Glendale now. So, but I’m still in Arizona. I just wanna say good morning and I am praying for my DAB family, praying for Grace, praying for the young man who has the autistic brother and I’m praying for the family to get over hardships. I’m praying for all of you as I ask that you continually to pray for me. I am sending out a special prayer requests for the ladies that I work with in recovery. They’re pregnant and have babies and I just pray dear Lord that your mercy and grace just flood over them. Father God, give them knowledge and understanding that the program is for them. It’s not against them. It’s something different that they have to do Father God, but I just pray that they will get an understanding. Let me be a light Father God, as I go into work each day. Father God, help me to love them, dear Lord, just as you loved us Father God. And let me not be with judgment, let me not be with any preconceived idea or anything Father God. Because I myself am also in recovery. So, I want to share my story and how Jesus saved me and brought me out of the darkness. Father God and I want to show them that the struggle is real, but is totally doable in you. I love you Audio family. I love you Brian, thank you for this platform. Be blessed and have a glorious day.

Thanks Sooo much for your time and effort in transcribing these for us. I thought I heard Dr John say that you also transcribe the weekend community prayer and praise podcast. If so can you please tell me how to find it? You are very much appreciated by our community!!!

Thanks much for the note. The weekend community prayer and praise is not transcribed. I’d love to do that but unfortunately don’t have the resources to do so. Pray that God makes a way for that to happen… with Him we know that all things are possible!

How do I start on January 1 and try to catch up. I want to be able read January commentaries.

Thanks so much for your question. If you’re ln the DAB Transcripts page you should be able to click the three dots next to the ask me anything button and then choose Archive. That will bring you to all the transcripts. They are listed out month by month. So, you should easily be able to go back to January…

This link should take you directly there…

Deuteronomy 7:1-8:20, Luke 7:36-8:3, Psalms 69:1-18, Proverbs 12:1

Today is the 27th day of March welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it’s great to be here with you today as we greet a brand-new shiny sparkly week out in front of us. And this will be the last time we get to do this in the month of March. Before this week is over, we will transition into a new month. Day by day, step-by-step time goes by and that’s where we find ourselves. And, so, let’s live these days of March with all of our hearts in love with God and let’s take the next step forward in the Scriptures. This week we’ll read from the New International Version, picking up where we left off in the book of Deuteronomy, which are the last things that Moses has to say to the children of Israel before he transfers power and leadership and…well…and dies. And, so, let’s continue the journey. Deuteronomy chapters 7 and 8 today.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You yet again for another brand-new week to enter into and look out into the future knowing that none of its happened, nothing that we’re planning, nothing that is unplanned has happened. We’re here right now looking into it and making a choice to walk with You every step of the way. And, so, may we pay attention to Your leadership. May we submit ourselves to You. May we humble ourselves before You as we follow You through this week and into the new month we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:

Hey everybody Tony the Narrator here and my message is for Michael. It was a real joy to hear your voice yesterday and I’ve been praying over you, praying over your family and what I have to say is that hard times are going to come. There are always gonna be hard times on the way in our life but you can rest assured that you have been covered in prayer not just by the Daily Audio Bible and this huge church that’s around the world but also by your mom. She used to pray for you all the time on the DAB and she was hoping that…that you would grow and become a responsible respectful man and we’ve seen that. You’ve, you know, you are asking for help with your little brother and what I’ll,,all I’ll say is help will come, things would be difficult but Jesus is always with you and you can come through because you’ve been prayed for. God bless you. Take care everybody. Love…

Good morning today is March 23rd I just heard Carol from Canada who called in on the 18th of March and I can hear the pain in your voice Carol. Please note that I’m praying for you. I too have spent my whole life as a party person. I became a Christian at 16 and then Satan drew me away from the Lord with a man. He always has known my best…my greatest weaknesses, always lust. And, so, I spent most of my life away from the Lord. I did not come back until 2009 and it took dropping my motorcycle trailer on myself and crushing a vertebra for me to wake up. But I did and I’m so grateful. I’m so grateful for this ministry that the Hardin family has so brought to life Jesus in my life. And my husband even listens with me now and I’m so excited about that. April 1st will make my first full year of listening to Brian. Carol, please don’t be ashamed of your thoughts and your depression. We all struggle with something. And we know that the Lord is with us but sometimes it’s difficult especially when your family ostracizes you because you’re a Christian. I have been a party or my whole life honestly. And I…just…after my birthday in February I turned 66 I haven’t smoked any pot and drank any alcohol since the day after my birthday. With God’s grace and mercy I’m doing fine. So, please know that it gets better. Please just stay strong in the Lord and know that we’re praying for you. Please just keep listening every day. And again, don’t be ashamed of yourself for having bad thoughts. We all have those days, and it will get better. In Jesus’ name I pray for your salvation and your…

This is the 23rd day of March, quite a significant day in my life and my wife’s. 59 years ago, today we got married and we are still married. Four children later, 38th grandchild on the way that’s including greats. I just want to thank the good Lord for all He’s done for us, and I pray that these people that are having trouble with their marriage, it happens. I’ve had…we’ve had plenty of hard times well with the good times. And hold me up in prayer and my wife as we’re getting in that age group where you never know, but we’re not afraid. Thank you for your prayer.

Hi this is Saved by His grace in Happy Valley. I was going to remain silent for all of Lent and just pray for you quietly but today March 23rd the first caller was Carol from Canada. She and her husband are the only Christians in their family and apparently their circle of friends and they are feeling very lonely and isolated. Carol, I want you and your husband to know that you are now part of the DAB family, and you have thousands and thousands at least of brothers and sisters who love you and cherish you and we want to be your family, we want to be your friends. Please don’t feel lonely and don’t feel suicidal. We love you. God loves you. Welcome, welcome home. Welcome to the family. We love you so much. Blessings. Bye for now.

Hello Daily Audio Bible family Letisha here. I’m calling to share that my father passed away this morning, 92 years of age. And I had called him before mentioning that he was raised in a religious family, super strict, but it was violent. And, so, I had to estrange myself from family about 10 years ago. So, I’m sharing this day of mourning with you all because I can’t do it under normal circumstances, whatever normal is. But I have to steer clear of the camaraderie with family because of the toxicity and the…the energy that…that was left because of his violent upbringing. But anyway, I loved him my entire life. And, so, just wanted to share that with a group of believers and I didn’t think I was going to cry. But I need you to know that I loved him, and I do miss him and he’s now in the arms of a forgiving father, a forgiving God. I believe that. Thank you.
