2 Kings 22:3-23:30, Acts 21:37-22:16, Psalms 1:1-6, Proverbs 18:11-12

Today is the 3rd day of July welcome to the Daily Audio Bible I’m Brian it’s great to be here with you today as we greet a brand-new shiny sparkly week, the first full week in this brand-new shiny sparkly seventh month of the year. And what a joy to great this week together and take the next step forward on our journey through the Bible this year. And the seventh month of the year, July, August, that…that is the warm months actually the hot months here in the rolling hills of Tennessee. So, summer is upon us for those of us who live in the northern hemisphere. I guess for those of you down under it’s probably getting cold, which is so interesting to me, but so cool that no matter what is going on in the atmosphere around us we have a Global Campfire and campfires work really good in the winter for warmth and in the summer to gather community. So, I am thrilled we greet this new week together gathered around the Global Campfire. And add the next step forward for us leads us back to some territory that we been moving through, the book of second Kings. This week we will read from the Common English Bible and today we will read second Kings chapter 22 verse 3 through 23 verse 30.

Prayer:

Father, we thank you for your word and once again as we do every time we come to this point, we thank you for a brand-new week. We thank you for bringing us here into this seventh month of the year. And as we often do we reflect back on all that you brought us through even in the months that belong to this year. We are grateful for your compassion and your mercy upon us and we are so profoundly thankful that you are instructing us through the Scriptures and touching our hearts and leading us on the pathway to peace and leading us on the narrow path that leads to life. May we stay in lock step with you. May we stay vigilantly aware of what you are speaking and where you are leading. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask this expectantly knowing that you will lead us into all truth. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In the name of Jesus we ask. Amen.
