Exodus 35:10-36:38, Matthew 27:32-66, Psalms 34:1-10, Proverbs 9:7-8

Today is the 13^th day of February. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it is a pleasure and a joy to be here with you around the global campfire that is nice and warm and bringing light and life and good news, and we just gather around and allow God’s word to speak, which is what we’re about to do. We’re reading from the Contemporary English Version this week. Exodus chapter 35 verse 10 through 36 verse 38 today.

Commentary:

Okay. It’s hard to talk about anything else but what we were reading about in the book of Matthew today. And it’s pretty hard to talk about that because for the first time we experienced the crucifixion of Jesus in our reading from the Scriptures this year. And, so, there’s not a whole lot else to say. And we know it’s the story of our salvation but if we would just sit with the humanity of the scene. It’s so heartbreaking. It is so profoundly sad to think that the Creator who fashioned beings in His own image with the idea that a mutual relationship could be formed and bound by covenant, that this creator would come and become one of us only to be killed by us. This is profoundly sad. And it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long ago since we began our journey but within the first couple of days of our journey we saw everything get blown apart in the book of Genesis. And in the scene that we’re seeing in the book of Matthew today we’re able to see just how far, just how twisted, just how backward an upside-down things had gotten among the human race. And to be honest, we could just look around now and say things are still pretty upside down and backward but now we don’t really have an excuse because there is a way. This bloody scene that we’re seeing play out on a cross and the gasps of an innocent man, His blood was shed on our behalf and we were restored to God in the process for those of us who believe. We have no business and no excuse for living backward and upside down anymore. It’s not supposed to be our reality anymore. So, if there’s a thought, if there’s something for us to live into today, it would be to sit with the brutal scene that is before us and what it cost to bring freedom into our lives and then to consider the ways that we’re living far less than free.

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You. And even as we say it the words fall flat because what can we say? We had no way to untangle the mess in our species created in Your image. We were irreversibly lost and then You came and rescued us and we didn’t earn it and there’s nothing that we can do. You’re giving it to us as a gift and so often we find ourselves not even taking the gift that cost You Your life and living into it and being transformed by it and being shaped into Your likeness. So, often we’re busy trying to make You in our image and make You do the things that we need done instead of the other way around and we’re repenting and were sitting with the starkness of the scene that the Scripture has brought into our lives today and contemplating it because there is no other story to tell. And, so, we invite Your Holy Spirit, come. Make this scene matter to us. Show us how to embrace it and show us how it is to transform us because of the work that was accomplished there, the victory that was won. Come Holy Spirit and let us sit with the weightiness of what we’ve read today and appreciate with a heart of gratitude and help us to look at the world through Your eyes. You looked at the world and loved it even though that hated You. You died for people who wanted You dead. What kind of love is that? Lead us deeper into that love we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I tend to have difficulties finding the time to sit down and just soak in the word and it’s really been an awesome experience for me to listen to Scripture and then reflect and have my own study. I’ve been married for some time and have children with my husband and I’m just calling to ask our community to reach out and pray for my husband who has been struggling with a sleepwalk and really just a lot of spiritual warfare within our home and marriage and specifically with him. So, just wanted to call and ask the brothers and sisters to lift him up prayer and me up in prayer. Really trying to strive to be the mom and life that God has called me to be. Hello everyone, this is Peggy in Texas. And first I want to thank Brian for doing an excellent job day after day, such a blessing to me personally. I’m calling…I’m asking for prayer for my precious grandson Xander. This is…I’ve called before, and he’s troubled, he’s alone, he’s manic-depressive, he’s drinking, he doesn’t have a doctor. So, he’s not getting any help. He hasn’t sought Christian friends. In fact, I don’t think he has one. Today he called, and he was frightened and afraid something might happen to him and afraid someone was out to cause him trouble. And I think he’s trying to reach out and say a call for help and yet I don’t know for sure. He’s in school and is working, an engineer student. So, as a grandmother I’, trying to keep the lines open to him and I’m trying to communicate love and guidance and, you know, personally I think he needs to be in a treatment center but financially that’s…that’s not possible. Anyway, you’ve got the picture. I’m a very concerned person, a very concerned grand mom. I don’t want to be a worrier, I want to trust the Lord, but I’m week. And, so…and I don’t have a great support system right now and I’m just calling on someone to pray with me. So, anyway I’m feeling a tad lonely and I just need you all too. And, so, I’m turning to you. Sometimes it’s just hard to pray. Maybe all of you have experienced that at some time but I’m in that boat tonight. And, so, I’m asking for you precious people to pray for my precious grandson, Xander. Thank you.

Hi, this is Victoria Soldier just calling. Wanted to say thank you Brian for all the fire that you’ve been putting out on the web and through your word and it’s been really blessing my soul and I just wanted to call and bless some of the other souls more abundantly. And I just wanted to pray for Prodigal and Rebecca and I wanted to pray for Hamm and Jamie and Tyler and I wanted to pray for the lady who wanted a friend and she was going through. I wanted to pray for those who have gone through depression and trying to help them to take away that precious life of the precious life through wanting to commit suicide. Lord, I just ask You to fill them with so much joy that they will see what You have before them, that the enemy is trying to take away them feeling not only the joy but knowing that they have salvation in You, knowing that they are going to be with You. Oh Lord You’re coming back soon. The world act like they don’t remember that You said You were coming back, they don’t remember that You are the way the truth and the light, but Lord You said You’re coming back __ without spot or wrinkle. You said we shall not all sleep but we shall be all changed in the moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when the sound is gonna sound and You gonna hear…and the mighty archangels…and the dead in Christ will arise first and we that are alive will be caught up to meet Him in the air. Lord I pray for my brothers and sisters today that the enemy’s trying to trick. You fill them with Your joy, You equip them with what You need to make this mighty journey. Oh Lord You bless those that need a friend, You bless those that need a spouse, You bless the one who is looking to have a baby and they couldn’t conceive but God You are…it all comes from You. Lord I just ask You to bless that womb Lord, that they will produce the baby that You have…

Hi this is Tony from Germany. I’m actually in Minnesota visiting my family and I just wanted to call in to….I’ve been listening to the Daily Audio Bible during my commute to their place…they’re in a nursing home, my parents. So, but for Tito, I want to tell you that I have tithed for many many years and I’m gonna tell you that the Lord has opened amazing doors for me and I believe that is because I tithe. For example, even going to Germany, it was just very miraculous and many many other things. And I just wanted to relay that to you because I wanted to give you a little bit of hope so you can continue onward. And then for Pelham, you know what __ ice. Not ICE but EIS, as you know, is just amazing amazing Italian ice cream. And, so I feel the Lord is steering you in the right business and perhaps at some point in time in planting a seed you will travel to Italy to learn different recipes, experiment with different recipes so one day you could do your own, come up with your own Italian ice recipe. So, remember you are not alone. I know that you’re reaching some low points. We are your family and we do love you. So, just remember that. Exodus 34:1-35:9, Matthew 27:15-31, Psalms 33:12-22, Proverbs 9:1-6

Today is the 12^th day of…February…I had a brain freeze…February, that’s where we are and we’re just about to the middle of the month in a couple of days when we experience Valentine’s Day. And it’s great to be here with you for the next step forward in our adventure through the Scriptures this year. And this week we’re reading from the Contemporary English Version and in the Old Testament we’re reading through the book of Exodus, which we will conclude before this week is out. But today, Exodus chapter 34 verse 1 through 35 verse 9.

Commentary:

Okay. So, we’ve been watching some erratic movement back and forth in the children of Israel’s existence in the book of Exodus, so erratic that they’re bowing in worship to a golden calf and then we have the conspiracy to kill Jesus in the book of Matthew. And, so, kind of some dark territory that we’re moving through but we have to consider ourselves in these stories. Like, where are our hearts in these stories? Who would we be if we were living in those stories, right? Would we be bowing to a golden calf wondering what happened to the man of God who disappeared on the mountain? Would we be yelling nail Him to a cross in the throng of people who had been whipped into a frenzy by the trusted religious leaders? We’ll read these stories and consider ourselves maybe above the disciples, “no we wouldn't…we wouldn’t run away, no we wouldn’t deny.” Or we might read the Old Testament story and think of ourselves more along with the priests and with Moses not…we would be the people going, “what are we supposed to do now? Give us a God so that we can be led forward in our lives.” And, so, trying to put ourselves in the story, this can be disruptive, but it exposes us, it invites us forward because we have to consider how patient God is with humanity, how patient God is with us, how intentional He is, how long-suffering He is. We do not deserve it. And that’s the thing because we began to think that we do. We don’t deserve God’s compassion and grace. Why does He love us at all?

In our reading from Psalms today we got some clues. We read, “the Lord looks at the world from His throne in heaven and He watches us all. The Lord gave us each a mind, and nothing we do can be hidden from Him.” In other words, God sees and He understands and it’s a pretty radical thing to know that we’re are understood when we’re so often screaming just the opposite into the face of the Lord, but He his understand, right? Every atom, every molecule, everything that makes us who we are, every good conviction and emotion that fills our hearts finds its essence in God because we were created in His image after His likeness. Of course He understands, He’s our Father. And, so, as we continue forward and we see God giving the law we have to understand that He’s not vengefully, angrily laying down the law. Instead, He’s weaving into the fabric of this new culture the story of who He is and what it means to be set apart by Him.

And as we watch Jesus, as we watch for the first time, Jesus go to the cross in the book of Matthew, we have to acknowledge just how committed God is to setting us apart.

The Psalm goes on to say, “the Lord watches over all who honor Him and trust His kindness.” In other words, we are being fathered by God under His watchful eye. He understands us, and He was willing to come and give His life so that we could know Him intimately, so that we could come close.

The proverb told us to leave our simple ways behind and begin to live. Maybe it’s time to do that. Maybe it’s time to own our part of the relationship as we’ve talked about already this year. God has done His part. Maybe it’s time that we grow up and do our part. God does understand us, and we are loved more than we can comprehend. Maybe we should give everything we’ve got and love Him with all of our heart and our mind and our strength in return.

Prayer:

Father, we begin by humbly acknowledging Your patience, Your long-suffering, Your kindness, Your goodness to us. We acknowledge that You are our Father, and that You love us. And then next we humbly repent for the ways in which we haven’t lived as if that were true, for the ways that we’ve lived as if that were not true and have thrashed about screaming and yelling about the circumstances that we’ve navigated ourselves into. Forgive us God. You are present. We acknowledge that You wouldn’t leave us. You died for us. You wouldn’t abandon us. You are with us every moment, every breath, and You love us, and You have bestowed upon us Your Holy Spirit to lead and guide us into all truth. We acknowledge that we’re just not always paying attention. In fact, maybe we’re paying attention far less than we think. So, come Holy Spirit. Once again, we open ourselves to You and Your power of sanctification and transformation within us. Come Holy Spirit we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Hi, I’m calling in today because I have been feeling that I’ve been needing to make this call for several weeks, but I was out of the country for part of that time so now I’m finally doing it. But I’ve been feeling that…I’ve been feeling the urge to ask everyone to think about how much does Daily Audio Bible mean to you? I know for me it’s meant so much. I’ve been listening to it for about a year now and it’s been incredible, the change that is made in my life. Finally, I understand the word of God and I can talk about it and I can understand things and it’s given me a power and a knowledge that is incredible. And, so, I started donating once a month. I set up a payment where it sends payment once a month and I think that it’s something important that we should all do if it’s valuable to you. It must cost a lot of money and time and effort to make this all happen and it’s wonderful that is free and accessible to all of us but if we want this to continue I think you need to make sure that we, that we, you know, support this financially as well…as well as, you know, all the other ways that we support it by being a community and by gathering together and supporting each other. So, I’m just asking if even if you don’t have a lot of money, I don’t, but even if you can donate $15 a month or if it’s $50 or $100 or whatever it is but just do something that’s every month because this community doesn’t just survive off of words it also requires financial backing. Hello Daily Audio Bible family. I’ve called in before and left a name but I’m not leaving my name because of a vicious family member. I just call myself in pain right now. I need you all to pray for me and my family. We’re going through a difficult time. My brother just called me, and we can’t find him. He tried to tell me that he wants to commit suicide and I don’t believe it’s gonna happen because I know God loves me and He loves him. And God’s gonna keep him because I lift him up and prayers. And I just need some more prayer to strengthen me as I go through this, not knowing where my brother is and all the things that he’s going through. He’s going through some really, really, really bad things right now. These things that he can even forgive himself for, but he knows God and he loves God. Please pray that God will reveal Himself to him right at this moment. I know this recording won’t be heard right now but I know God knows the schedule of time and I know your prayers, when they go up they don’t reach back in the past, they change everything. So, I’m asking that you pray for me, that I can be strong, for my brother. And I pray that you would have God keep my brother, keep him alive, and let him understand that this is not the end of the world, that things will get better so that he can forgive himself and that he can love himself like God loves him. Pray for his family, his wife and his children and that he would __ protect him. So, please pray my strength so I can be strong to him because I know God loves us unconditionally and He’s gonna take care of all of us unimaginably and I’m just waiting for that miracle. Let God get the glory…

Hello family, my name is Jill and I’m from the state of Washington. I am married to a wonderful man whose sexaholic. This has been a really difficult last two year transition for me as I discovered it. I was lied to and was more lied to and more lied to and now I feel like I am probably being told the truth. He is involved with multiple groups that are helping sexaholics and most importantly he’s reached out to God. That is something I shut down for quite a while because it was very difficult for me. I shut down my Lord, my Savior but I’m now reaching out to Him again and I would ask that you would pray for us, that God would just capture the heart of our home. We have all adult children, four adult children, and it’s been very trying as some of the blame has come back on me. That’s just been painful. But please family, pray for us that God would just capture our hearts, know how to respond and also that we would reach out for Him to heal us because I have been destroyed as a woman, as a partner, as an identity as a female. Hi, this is Pam from Wisconsin today is February 8^th. My husband was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and we’re just feeling the overwhelming chaos regarding all the decisions that need to be made very rapidly. I do need to get the bills together today, something I’ve been avoiding because I don’t know how they’re going to get to get paid. I ask Jesus to calm my heart and keep my head clear. I had today’s Daily Audio Bible on in the background. Bob from Michigan called with a message for Tyler and gave him 2 Corinthians 1:9-10. That message dear Bob was also a message for us from the Holy Spirit and I thank you. I’ve supported Daily Audio Bible monthly as part of my missions giving for some time. Please believe me when I say your blessings for this community will far outweigh what you give. Please bring us to the Father in prayer as we walk down this road together with Him. Thank you.

Exodus 32:1-33:23, Matthew 26:69-27:14, Psalms 33:1-11, Proverbs 8:33-36

Today is the 11^th day of February. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian, of course, like I am every day and you are you like you are every day and here we are together like we are every day surrounding the global campfire as we come together to take the next step and get ourselves into this work week. So, we’re reading from the Contemporary English Version this week and we’ll pick up where we left off yesterday, of course, and there is some drama brewing in the wilderness. Exodus chapter 32 and 33 today.

Commentary:

Alright. So, in the book of Exodus we witnessed…I mean…events that should make us speechless, at least in relation to the story, like, jaw-dropping stuff. Here the children of Israel have been brought out of Egypt in miraculous fashion, have walked across the Red Sea, are in the wilderness around Mount Sinai where God has come down to meet with His people and Moses has been gone 40 days and their antsy that he’s not coming back. And, so they decide to create an idol and bow in worship to the idol that they watched being made and worship this golden calf as if it was the deity that brought them out of Egypt. That’s pretty staggering stuff. Unfortunately, it won’t will be the last time in the Bible that we see a golden calf. And for that matter, cows are still worshiped among certain cultures today by millions of people. But I mean in the story that we have been tracking since the beginning of the year we come to this point where God has by his strong arm set a people apart and brought them miraculously out where he could reshape them and give them a new identity and this is what we find, idol worship? How could this happen, right? After all that God had brought them through, how could this happen? And that’s what God thought, right? Go down the mountain right now, He’s telling Moses, your people that you brought from Egypt have corrupted themselves, right? They’re worshiping a golden calf and claiming that the golden calf brought them out of Egypt. So, I mean on one hand, this would almost be funny if it weren’t so heartbreaking. God had moved heaven and earth to put in motion a promise that took generations, centuries to develop and He hadn’t just shown His existence, but also His power in Egypt and He’d been feeding the people in the wilderness while leading them by a pillar of fire in the night and a cloud in the day. So, God was obviously in their midst and He had obviously chosen them. They had not only been told of their ancient story but of the story that they were currently living. In fact, they were at that mountain to meet with God and they made a false God at that mountain to worship. So, this might even be funny in our own lives too if we saw ourselves behaving this way until we actually do see ourselves behaving this way. And then it’s equally heartbreaking. And when God seems distant to us or the path is fogged in and we don’t know which way to go, we often find ourselves ignoring the obvious, that God has not departed, He would not abandon us, that He is present, that He has been sustaining us in ways that we’ve chosen to ignore and then we get obsessed and we get compulsive and we start looking for anything that’s gonna promise life, even if it’s only going to bring death, even if it’s only idolatry. So, let’s remember that the things that we give our hearts in search of life that is not God, that is idol and we find ourselves bowing before these idols perhaps more than we might realize and this is a big, big deal. Our tendency toward idolatry explains so much about our lives and the condition of our lives. And we have to pay attention because God is a jealous God, which doesn’t mean God is an insecure God, right, or a manipulative God. God is faithful and loyal and good and it breaks His heart when we betray Him. And let’s pause. If we are being faithful and loyal and good in a relationship only to find out that the person we have given our hearts to have been disloyal and unfaithful our hearts would be broken too and we would probably start acting very erratically very quickly. So, this isn’t something that we do not understand it. It’s actually a pretty sobering reality which we press into, that we can affect the heart of God like that, through our disloyalty and unfaithfulness. That should be pretty stark because it is pretty stark.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, we invite You to come into this. What are the ways that we’ve been searching for life that isn’t You and that we’ve been giving our hearts in worship to that person, that thing, that goal, that expectation, what are the ways, what are the things that we’ve been turning to for life that aren’t You? Things that may not be bad in and of themselves, but that we are turning to in access in hope for comfort that only You can provide. This exposes idolatry and that is a stark thing because we would never think that we are practicing idolatry in any way. We would never bow down to some kind of golden calf, that’s part of our culture. That’s not something we can even really relate very well to. Oh, but we can bow to bank accounts. We can bow to food. We can bow to people. We can look outside of our relationship with You and try to find a little life on the side. The thing is, if we tried that kind of behavior in our daily lives it would wreak havoc. And yet we don’t realize the havoc that we wreak on our lives spiritually that then back fills into our daily lives by behaving this way. So, we take some time to press into this today. Yes, we would rather end today with some great word of encouragement that would help us navigate forcefully and confidently through this day, but You are leading us today to consider what we are giving our hearts to that aren’t You. And, so, we’ll follow the path where You lead. What are those things Holy Spirit? We give ourselves to contemplating that today and opening ourselves to repentance. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.

Today is the 10^th day of February. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and here we are, we reach out together and twist the knob, swing wide the gates, and walk into a shiny, sparkly new week together as we continue our journey that, day by day, will lead us…well…will lead us week by week and then week by week will lead us month by month through the entire Bible this year. And what a journey it has already been. So, we’re in a brand-new week, we’ll read from a new translation, this week the Contemporary English Version. And we’re on the same path, so we’ll pick up where we left off yesterday. Exodus chapter 30 verse 11 to 31 verse 18.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You for bringing us here to the beginning of this, the seventh week of the year. And that in itself is hard to believe. It seems like yesterday, yet this kind of how porous time is and yet one thing that is constant is this rhythm where we come together around the global campfire as a community each and every day and allow Your word to wash over us and speak to us and inform us and give us counsel for the day. Hi Nonny. I’m calling in actually to encourage you. I just wanted to remind you of the story in the Bible that occurred when Moses and Aaron went to go speak to Pharaoh __ situation __ and Moses told God, “look, I did what you told me to do. I had the right approach to it, the right expectation, I was confident, but it did work out and it got worse.” What I love about that, that verse that it showed __ that God had a plan for even that moment, that moment of despair and confusion of why certain things are happening in our lives and we try to have the right approach to it. God has a plan for even your situation. God is lifting you up, He’s pulling you up and He’s just telling you to keep holding onto that robe, the hem of his garment. In Philippians chapter 1 verse 6 it says, “be confident of this very thing that he who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” God will not abandon you, He will bring you through, He will keep that good work that is within. He will keep progressing you and evolving you and the word will bring you through. He loves you so much. He has not forgotten you. So, keep seeking after Him, going after Him relentlessly. Whatever it takes to get closer to Jesus. If you need to spend hours in your car just talking to God, do it. Just don’t let go of Jesus. He’s not letting go of you. Yes, hi my name…I’m from New Jersey…I’m calling, this is my first time calling in, this is my first time following Daily Audio Bible. I’m calling to ask if you guys could please pray for me. I’m looking for a full-time permanent job. I’m in my late 50s and it’s been difficult to find even though I’m a nurse. I also would like to ask if you would pray for a person that I’m working with. I work as a substitute. I work with an autistic student that I know is very smart and I just pray that God will open up his brain so that he can show the place that he goes to school and home all the things that he knows. Also, if you can just pray for my…I have two girls that are not talking to each other right now. If you can just pray for them I really appreciate it. Good morning Daily Audio Bible brothers and sisters, this is Amazed by Grace in Massachusetts. I’ve been listening to the Daily Audio Bible about three years and am so excited of how God has blessed me and given me the opportunity to be part of so many of your lives as you share and we are able to pray for one another. I was so happy to hear your call this morning Margo and that you are doing better in your adjustment to this huge change in your life. I just praise the Lord that you and your husband are taking this next up. And I want Jane to know in New York that we’re praying for her and that you will find friendships in the church where you can be encouraged and we continue to pray for Margaret Ray and for others who are struggling in loneliness. And so good to hear from the Prodigal that you’re doing better and persevering. It’s so wonderful to be part of this community. Good morning family this is T from Salt Lake City Utah. First time calling, been listening since probably Thanksgiving of last year. So, this will be the first full year I’ve done. It’s been wonderful. To be honest to get to the point. I guess. I’m calling first of all just to thank everyone for just the prayers that they put out there for everyone else. The encouragement is wonderful to hear. I could use a bit myself to be honest. I would say over the last six months or so I just kind of felt an absence of the peace of God that I used to feel on a daily basis and I don’t know what’s happened or what’s changed. I, you know, I do, I’ve, I listen to the Bible, I don’t have a lot of time to read the Bible, but I do listen to every day. But I mean I just I don’t know, I’ve struggled with depression, with, you know, despair and thoughts of just not taking my life but rather just wanting it to end so to speak I mean if that makes sense. I just, I guess I just need prayer to have the strength to keep going and to know that this is probably a time when I’m in the waiting and I’m waiting for something but I just pray for…pray for me family. Pray for strength that I will continue to just get up and march forward even when it feels like I’m not…I don’t feel like He’s there sometimes. I thank you all so much. I love you guys. Keep it up. Today is February 9^th. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian and it is great to be here with you for sure as we end another week. And yeah, they just…they just don’t slow down…they just kind of keep coming day after day and we have accumulated another week together. So, well done! We’ve been reading from the Amplified Bible this week and we’ll continue to do that today since this is still this week and then we’ll switch to something else tomorrow. We are gonna go back out to Mount Sinai where God is speaking to Moses and establishing the ground rules for a new culture that is being formed in the wilderness. Today, Exodus chapter 29 verse 1 through 30 verse 10.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word. Every day we basically thank You for Your word because it is a gift and we are grateful and we thank You for bringing us through another week and we thank You for all that You have spoken to us through Your word during this week. And today the voice of wisdom told us that she loves those who love her and those who seek her early and diligently will find her. Holy Spirit lead us on the paths of wisdom, that we might seek it early before there’s a problem and diligently so that we are living wise lives. We don’t propose that we can do this on our own. We need Your Holy Spirit’s guidance. So, come, we open ourselves to You. Lead us into all truth. Lead us into wisdom. Lead us on the narrow path that leads to life we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We’re getting ready for school…and…I’m here family. I’m gonna pray. __ I heard your prayer on the program a while ago and wrote them down, he’s sick and this is impacting his marriage. Father God I pray for his salvation and I’m praying for him. I pray oh God that you will give him a Job like restoration in the name of Jesus. Pray for Jackie from St. Louis. Jackie I heard your request, your prayer and I wrote it down as a person problem with financial __. And Father God I pray that You will restore what the __ has __ . I pray oh God that You will hold Jackie’s hand and guide her through this valley of the shadow of death Lord and take her to the other side in the name of Jesus. Protect You as His Name called praying for her dad’s salvation and restoration and relationship with her Father. Father God we know You are the ultimate Father and a relationship between a Father and a child is precious to Father. So, whatever’s causing the separation between the two Lord, I pray that You will remove it in the name of Jesus and restore it and God I pray that You will bind them together in Your love Father. God, I pray for the salvation of all our family members __ that don’t know God. Lord, we pray that You will reach out and call them by their name. So, Holy Spirit, call them to Yourself. Hi family, this is Kim from Kentucky and it’s Tuesday, February the 5^th and I just listened and I’ve been wanting to call and several times over the past several weeks with people’s prayer requests and things and I’ve just not done it, but jazz, I just listened to your praise report passing your boards. I’m a pediatrician and when you called a while back asking for prayer, I mean, I know how hard that is and how much worry and ache there can be while waiting for those test results. And, so, I just praise God for that. And I thought about calling in because I have a son that is just out of PA school last month and I thank you for praying for those that are facing challenges because he failed his first test in physiology but I’m praying for a turnaround that he just rises up and continues to excel from here. And my daughter is studying for the MCATs, to take it in April to apply to med school. So, you know all about that. And a couple of days ago Brian talked about Moses and the battle and sitting on the rock and Aaron and Herr and just reminded me of this community. Jesus is our rock. Brian, reading out the word every day is what we sit on, it’s our foundation, it’s what we stand on. And we and Aaron and Herr __ and sometimes we’re the Moses in the battle and we need others to be our Aaron and Herr. And we’re a good community for that. Good morning Daily Audio Bible family or whatever time of the day it is where you’re at. This is Andrea Delane from Kentucky. Just wanted to say it’s so good to hear from you. I’ve been listening to your prayer requests and I just wanted to encourage you today if you’re lonely or if feel socially isolated. I read something the other day on Facebook from a neuroscientist, a __ neuroscientist and she wrote, “did you know that loneliness is one of the leading causes of death in our world today. Isolation is no joke. Loneliness actually increases the risk for premature mortality amongst all ages while one recent study indicates that social isolation and loneliness kill more people than obesity.” So, I just wanted to come on here because I know that this is definitely something that I have struggled with through the years and as I’m listening to a lot of the prayer requests I really feel the root of it is feeling alone, is feeling isolated. So, I just want to pray for you today, right now. I’ll just go ahead and pray for you. So, Father I just ask You right now…I just want to thank You, first of all, for Your friendship, that we can run to You, that You are closer than a brother, that You will never leave us or forsake us. That’s Your promise to those who believe and trust in You. And, so, Father I ask right now that the Holy Spirit would remind Your people that You are with them, but secondly that You would also like for us to reach out to one another and to visit the widows in their affliction, to visit the orphans. And Lord that the timing, time is so important even more important than money. And Father I ask that we would be able to have wisdom in knowing how to increase our relationship skills, being able to increase in developing deeper meaningful relationships so that we are not suffering in the needless thing of loneliness or isolation that affects our brains, that causes our mental health to decline. Father I pray a release of Your spirit and a release of Your wisdom in building new relationships all around us in Jesus name. Amen.

Hey everybody, this is Pelham from Birmingham apparently. So, now I’m looking for a place in Birmingham. Real quick getting that out there, that I need prayer for that. I’m calling because of you Prodigal. I’m calling cause your call played today. I couldn’t even get through your entire call in. I gotta go back and finish it. Dude! High-fives from Birmingham comin’ at you bro. You’re at war man. You’re at war man. He’s liftin’ you up though, he’s liftin’ us all up and the wheel turns. Man and we forget where we are often, don’t we? Woo. This last weekend I was in darker place than I thought I could go, more lonely, more afraid, more separated from my family, and isolated from my friends than I’d ever been, like out on a branch. And that’s all he wants to do is isolate us so he can get us alone with our thoughts and get us to turn against ourselves. We start agreeing to things that would never agree with if Jesus was standing right there next to us. And sometimes we forget that He’s always standing there. Sometimes we need an actual person to stand there. Prodigal, good job man. I’m salutin’ you over here. Guys pray for Italian ice because I’m gonna be the Italian Ice man apparently. __ Italian Ice wants to hire me full-time to run his truck in Birmingham, which is really good timing. I don’t know how that’s gonna work. Help! I’m calling out. I need help. Pelham needs help. I need prayer. Thank you.
