Jeremiah 37:1-38:28, 1 Timothy 6:1-21, Psalms 89:38-52, Proverbs 25:28

Today is the 21st day of October. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I am Brian. It’s great to be here with you today at the shiny, sparkly threshold of a brand-new week. And we walk into it together. We will be reading from the Christian Standard Bible this week and picking up where we left off yesterday in the book of Jeremiah. We’ll also be concluding the letter that we know as first Timothy today when e get to our New Testament reading, but first Jeremiah chapter 37 verse 1 through 38 verse 28.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word and we thank You for the next step forward as we have entered into this a brand-new week. And Lord, we joke around about it being sparkly and shiny and a brand-new threshold and a fresh start, but it’s true. It’s a fresh start. And everything that we’ve already experienced is fading into our past. And everything that is out in front of us is something that we can walk into with You. You have invited us into relationship. And, so, often we simply aren’t paying attention, and aren’t aware of Your presence. This week we want to be fully aware of Your presence in everything. And, so, we invite You. Holy Spirit, come. May we listen to Your counsel, may we take Your correction, may we find ourselves firmly walking on the narrow path that leads to life. And only You can guide us Lord. We may get on that path, but we will wander off of it and we know this. And, so, we seek Your guidance. We seek intimacy with You as we move further into the new week and the rest of this year. Come Holy Spirit, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Community Prayer and Praise:

Hi DAB family, it is your sister Paula calling from Albuquerque. I am calling for a couple of things. Number one, today is October 16th and I listened to the podcast this morning. And thank you Brian for allowing the Lord to use you the way he does. I really needed to hear that. I’m still going through stuff with work. Have another meeting. Another audit failed by a few points. I know that it’s whatever God says. So, I really needed to hear that this morning. I need to bloom where implanted while I’m waiting. Also, I listened to community prayer yesterday as well. Asia, thank you so much for praying for me and for the rest of us. Praying for the hurricane people that have been affected by that, for marriages. Paul in Houston, Daniel Johnson Junior, Shantee day. For those affected by grief. Kristi in Kentucky, you’ve been on my heart. Candace from Oregon, To Be a Blessing. Michael, praying that you find a good church that allows you to bloom where you’re planted and allow you to grow. And of course, always for relationships. Jay, been praying for your ex-wife and your child since you first called in about all of the news. Just continuing to pray for all of you as I listen. Please lift me up. My meeting is tomorrow morning. It got postponed. So, God has a reason for that as well. Christine with the bumpy dog, I heard your prayer request to. Love you all and continuing to pray as I…

This is Wholehearted from Houston. I’ve been listening to this Daily Audio Bible for several years. My sisters and I have been to a few of the women’s conferences back when they were called captivating. My family and I are in a struggle for the fight of our life. Our son has addiction issues and has been diagnosed with several mental health issues, such as bipolar and PTSD. He’s had multiple, serious, would have been deadly, attempts at suicide if the Lord had not intervened each time. He feels like God’s abandoned him and he feels totally hopeless and he’s so sad and wounded and he’s also going through divorce at this time. Today it’s his anniversary. Please pray for him and our family. Thank you. This is Wholehearted from Houston. Wholehearted is the name of the Lord gave me at the first women’s conference I went to with DAB several years ago. I appreciate all of you. I listen and I pray with you guys. Thank you. Bye bye.

Hi everybody it’s Margo from Australia. I have news. Yesterday was an adventurous day for us because we got the official confirmation in writing that we are going to Liberia next year with the Mission Aviation Fellowship. I am so excited. We knew, you know, we’ve been saying it but __ in January, but to get it officially in writing was so fabulous…and also a little bit scary. And I just felt so emotional and grateful to the Lord for how he has been with us on this journey. We are at 8% of our financial support rate. We do need to get to 100. So, if you would continue to pray for us I would be so grateful. And I just want to…I want to honor the news to praise the Lord. I can’t even describe the honor it is to serve my Jesus, my Savior, to give him my whole life. You know we’re living in the dash. I don’t know if I’ve ever told…forgive me if I’m repeating myself…but I have this little metaphor that if typed a dash or a hyphen on a full-page and set it in the middle of a football field, that one little hyphen on that page would represent our life in the middle of eternity. And in fact, not even that. We get one tiny little dash to live our lives and we don’t get a do over. I want to use my whole life to serve Him with every ounce of strength I have and to love Him with all of my heart. I just, I just hope that maybe you guys can feel that way to. Don’t forget where living in the dash. Give him your whole self. It is such an honor. Love you all peeps. Bye.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family, this is Sandy in New Hampshire. It’s been a while since I called but I’m calling into pray for Gee who called in on the 10th and am praying for the Lord to heal you every bit that you would be whole from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. And then I want to tell you that you’re so brave. Look what you’ve done. Look how the Lord has used your testimony and your willingness to call and ask for help. So many people have been challenged to rise up in faith. Thank you for your bravery. So, I’m praying with for you. Nora David, you called in on the 12th and I am praying for our first nation people, that God would heal and the people in the village, the young people would have hope restored to them, that God would take away the suicide, the spirit of suicide, and like He lights up the northern lights in the sky that He would like of the youth with His flame. Nora, I’m playing for the elders in the villages to have wisdom and to be able to guide and direct them. I’m praying for an outpouring of the Lord’s presence in the villages. David in Kansas, I’m praying for you. Jordan in Michigan, I’m praying for you. Salvation is Mine, I’m praying for you. God bless you. This is Sandy from New Hampshire.

Hello DAB family. This is somebody from the UK. I’m gonna go by He Knows My Name. It’s just a praise report really. So, long story short. Since leaving and __ University I’ve always had this desire to teach and I applied about three years straight and the opportunity just never came up. And very long story short, this year I’m actually doing my teacher training and this year that’s been all about teaching next year and this is about seven, eight, maybe nearly nine years in the making. And I just wanted to cover encourage all of you who have dreams, have desires, and who have gone after them and been discouraged and just remind you that God sees, He hears, and His timing is perfect. And I wanted to encourage you with Galatians 6:9. I hope of got that right, it might be 9:6, but it says don’t go away __ doing because you will reap if you don’t lose heart. And I know a lot of people out there a lot of people dreaming and hoping and believing towards things. And just because you don’t see them straightaway doesn’t mean God’s not on the case. So, please be encouraged and know that He’s…He’s our Father and He desires…He wants to __ the desires of our heart when we seek after him. So, praying for you all. I’m one of the ones in the background who are constantly praying. And just keep believing that He is faithful and He will come through. God bless.
