Leviticus 4:1-5:19, Mark 2:13-3:6, Psalms 36:1-12, Proverbs 10:1-2

Today is the 17th day of February. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It’s great to be here with you as we get ready to close down another week. And as we get ready to take the journey into the land of the Bible. And I’ll talk about that a little bit at the end, but we are at the beginning. So, let’s dive in and take the next step through the Scriptures. We’re reading from the Contemporary English Version this week, which is today. Leviticus chapters 4 and 5.

Prayer:

Father, we thank You for Your word. And we thank You for all that You have spoken to us through Your word this week. And this week we passed through the center of this month and we’re moving right along. We also entered into this season of Lent, where we are focusing our attention on what it cost to bring salvation to the human race, what it cost to give us eternal life. And as we do that, our heart opens to You. We trust You. We love You. We give ourselves to You every moment of the day, body, mind, and  Spirit. And we invite You to move things in our lives. Reveal to us things that need to be weeded out of our lives. Show us the things that need to be re-ordered in our lives. We love You, Father. Your kindness and Your faithfulness to us are unspeakably good. And we trust You. And we invite You into the rest of this day. Come, Holy Spirit, we pray. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Announcements:

dailyaudiobible.com is the website, it’s home base, it’s where you find out what’s going on around here.

So, mostly, we’re getting prepared, prepared for the next couple of weeks that we’ll be out of the country and moving around the land of the Bible. So, some of us left today to just get things in order on the other side. I’ll be heading over in the morning. So, this is definitely a time for prayer, travel, stamina, health, technology. I mean, we’ll be moving all over that land. And the Daily Audio Bible will go on every single day no matter where we are, which has been the case all along for all of these, well, twelve plus years now. But I have been in lots of situations where it’s pretty dicey. So, we definitely pray over technology. We definitely pray over everything necessary to do what we’re going to do. Thank you for your prayers, as well. We’re going to have a great time, whether in person or virtually. And I’ve mentioned where we’ll be posting pictures and videos and stuff, so at the Daily Audio Bible Facebook page. facebook.com/dailyaudiobible or the Daily Audio Bible Instagram page. Just search for Daily Audio Bible  and we will make this as interactive as possible.  I’ll be talking on the Daily Audio Bible each day about where we’ve been, what we’ve been thinking, and seeing, and doing and we’ll be posting pictures. And, so you can just follow right along and be a part of the trip. And, so many of the places that we’ve already encountered in the Bible are places that we’ll be visiting so you’ll be able to just, kind of, connect to these stories that we’re moving our way through. So, it’s always been a beautiful time for the Daily Audio Bible community.

The other thing that’s coming up is in April, the More Gathering for women. Our annual women’s conference that we hold in the mountains of Georgia just outside of Atlanta about an hour. And that is also something that is profoundly beautiful. So, if that’s been something that’s kind of sitting there in your heart, you can check that out. moregathering.com is the website and all of the details that you would want to know can be found there. And we’ll look forward to that in the springtime when new life begins to come back to the South.

If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that at dailyaudiobible.com.  There’s a link. It’s on the homepage. I cannot thank you enough. Never will be able to. Humbly thank you enough for your partnership. This is how we do what we do as a community. So, thank you profoundly for being involved in that. So, there’s a link on the homepage.  If you’re using the Daily Audio Bible app, you can press the Give button in the upper right-hand corner or, if you prefer, the mailing address is P.O. Box 1996, Spring Hill, Tennessee, 37174.

And as always if you have a prayer request or comment 877-942-4253 is the number to dial.

And that’s it for today. I’m Brian I love you and I’ll be waiting for you here tomorrow.

Community Prayer and Praise:

Hi Daily Audio Bible family. This is my first call. I’m a new listener and have been listening since the beginning of the year. I traded watching television while I am on the elliptical for listening to this and boy what a great trade-off it was. The reason for my call today is a prayer request for a family member of mine who is facing an unplanned pregnancy. She is a single mother of two already. This would be her third child. The father of this child committed suicide and it was a very, very difficult situation for her. She is heavily contemplating giving this child away for open adoption. So, we just praise the Lord that she’s chosen to give this child life. Very hard decision for her. But I just pray that, ask for prayer, that she would have God’s direction on what she should do. This is a very, very difficult situation. I can’t imagine. So please just pray for her, lift her up. There are many things in her life God needs to heal. But this is pressing in. Baby is due coming up in June. Thank you so much family. Love you all and I do pray for all the requests as I listen each day. Thank you.

Hi Daily Audio Bible family this is Greg calling from Kansas City. I’m a first-time caller. My wife’s been listening for many years and I’ve been listening for two years now. I’m calling to ask for prayer for my brother Doug. He was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer a month or so ago. And, so, it’s a pretty serious diagnosis. But I do believe in the power of prayer and I believe the more people that are praying for him along with God’s intervention he can be healed. So, would you join me in praying for my brother Doug, that God would heal him from this cancer. And he’s a man of God. And we would just like for him to be around a little more. So, thank you and God bless.

Hey everybody. It’s Margo from Australia. I have been listening to the community prayer line. And I don’t usually ring in and about specific things I hear, but I just really wanted to ring in and say, I just heard Pelham. And I know, you know, we’ve all been really praying for you Pelham, but I just wanted to say, the current stress and strain that you are under at the moment, with your finances, is going to be putting so much stress on your marriage relationship. And I just want to say, I’ve been there and you will come through this. What’s really important is that you stand by each other side. You will always have more fights when you under stress. And I’ve been there. I’ve been married 25 years this year and I can honestly say that I’ve got the most beautiful marriage I know of. Honestly, it is just the most wonderful relationship. And that is…the only reason…is because of our commitment. We decided early on…well…when we married…due to…really…our Christian faith…we do not believe in divorce. We had the worst problem to the point where I would’ve loved to leave him. I wished that he would go and have an affair so I would have biblical grounds to divorce him. But we decided we were committed and we came through that. Now what we have is bordering on ideal in our relationship and our love. So, don’t let the strain of your situation ruin your marriage. You stay committed. You never mentioned separation. You never mentioned the D word. Of course, you’re not even allowed to say that word. Hang in there. It will get better and you will be so grateful in the end that you stood by each other and you didn’t give up. You go for it brother. You’re going to be great in your going to get through this.

Good morning DABber family. This is Bob from Cincinnati Ohio. I am calling, it’s February 12th now. And you know __ I thought about this earlier. But, happy Valentine’s Day to all of you. I just wanted to say I love you all. I love listening to you and I love praying for you and just having joys with you. It’s just spectacular. Brian, I love the fact that you did the Sneezing Jesus. Our church actually did a small group study and we had a very good turnout for it. So, all that said I do have a prayer request. I will be going before the district committee for ordaining ministries February 28th. And I would love to have as many people praying at 9:30 AM, wherever you are, for that meeting and just that the Lord’s presence can be there stronger than anyone’s ever felt it. I seem to have a problem with them every once in a while, just, I’m extremely honest and I also don’t interview well. So, I know the things that they want to know but it just doesn’t come out all the time. So, I ask that you just pray that it just flows of the me this time without any problems. And if everything goes well then I’ll be recommended to go to licensing school and I should be a pastor this year. So, if you would just please lift me up with that and I will continue to pray for all of you. I love you all. Again, happy Valentine’s Day. Bye.

Father God, we lift up the DAB trip to Israel this year. Father God thank You for all of those who are going. I pray Lord that You’d be preparing their hearts for what’s about to happen and that You’d be getting them there safely and they’ll have the most awesome time in Israel just seeing where the Bible happened. Father God, so be blessing them greatly Lord. I pray Lord that You would be in all of technology of the DAB stuff as Brian continues to read the Bible for us and takes all with him to the promise land. Father God, I pray for those of us who are left behind. I know we will go virtually but I’d love to one day go there Lord and just to see we are all this happened. But Lord, in Your time. But just Lord, we do pray for safety for those going and just pray for all logistics, that the hotel stays will go well, the food be good, transport will all work out. Just be at work. We pray for Your calm presence and peace, especially in all the panic and hustle of getting ready. Lord may Your name be praised during this visit. May Your name be glorified. And I pray that You would just be real to everyone there. And that they would know the peace of You in all of it, despite what might be happening around them. Bless it greatly Lord in Jesus precious and holy name. Amen. It’s Mikayla from Gloucester in the UK or Beloved by Him. Monday, I need to __ . I hope You guys are having to do wherever You are. But yeah, Israel, it’s amazing. I’m actually going to watch the promised land to get myself in the right space for that. Bye.

Got to keep pushing. Got to keep trying. Gotta keep reaching. Gotta keep grinding. Gotta keep climbing though the mountain is high and stay focused on the Son through the tears I cry, cause even though it’s midnight the Son sits high. And rain may fall in life’s storms but the sun still shines. A broken vessel that can hold any sand at any time, but the battle is the Lords and the victories mine. I said the battle is the Lords and the victories mine. He that has an ear to hear let him listen and be taught. Plans of the enemy are brought to not by God’s purpose. So, check out to be taught as I restate, reiterate, recapitulate or how about I just go on and testify about the most high and His great greatness. As is great great is not wasted yes it’s poured out upon me. I, the proverbial prodigal from the pig pen to the palace. Supernaturally defining all of that which is naturally logical like the last shall be the first or the tail will be the head or the king born in a manager or the likely traveler I got from the three things Jesus once said from the multitude that was fed on a few fish and some bread for the whole universe that came into being from three words the Father said, let there be, and then there was, just like he said it. Now that’s real spoken word. God said it and that’s __. I’m going to stop right there. Blind Tony, what’s up brother? It’s Tucson. Look, we exchanged emails a while back and you encouraged me man, while I was going through some things and that’s a piece of a poem I wrote. Some time ago His Holy Spirit was reminding me that the battle belongs to God no matter what’s going on. And when I heard about the cancer coming back I thought I’d take a minute to reach out and encourage you the same way you encouraged me and so many others. Keep pushing brother and keep speaking the word of God into your situation because we know that he’s a healer and when God’s word comes into the situation it brings forth light. So, I’m praying with you man. I’ll send you the email so you can listen to it or check out the rest of that at your leisure. Peace and love brother. Keep standing. Keep writing. And keep sending us those great words man. We love you. God bless.
