1 Chronicles 22:1-23:32 ~ Romans 3:9-31 ~ Psalm 12:1-8 ~ Proverbs 19:13-14

Today is the 16th day of July.  Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible and here we are stepping through the threshold of a brand new week.  And kind of here, where I live in the Rolling Hills of Tennessee, this is the thick of the summer we are moving into. For the next 6 weeks, for me, it’s going to be hot and humid, which is probably my least favorite, although one of the most beautiful times – lush, green, beautiful - but the point is, we are moving into the thick of the summer, unless you live below the equator and then, I guess, we’re moving into the thick of winter. I guess as a community we experience it all but I digress.  Welcome to a brand new week. There is much out in front of us for this week in the scriptures and this week we’ll read from the Holman Christian Standard Bible. Today, 1 Chronicles, chapter 22, verse 1, through 23, verse 32.

 Prayer:

Thank you, Father, for your word, and as we walk through this threshold into this new week, we walk through it with you. Every step that we take, every breath that we take, every thought, word, and deed we invite you into and we consecrate ourselves to you and invite intertwining with you as we walk through this week. May we be your hands and feet in everything that we do and in all that we are. Come Holy Spirit, we pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Community Prayers and Praise Reports:

Hi DAB Family.  It’s Carla Jean from Pahrump, NV just outside of Las Vegas. I’ve been a listener since the beginning of the year and this is my first time calling. I was diagnosed yesterday with diabetes and it’s out of control and so it’s kind of scary right now. I also have my oldest daughter who is getting married this Friday and although she lives in Las Vegas, we have not been invited to the wedding and so that’s heartbreaking.  We’ve just been having a lot of financial difficulties in the last 6 weeks.  We’ve had 8 major appliances break, water system, the well, and it just feels like we’re hemorrhaging cash at this time. But we got Sneezing Jesus this week so I’m looking forward to diving in with that. I want to shout out to Christy and Candice, Pastor Gene, Blind Tony, Sandy and Dan from New Hampshire. I’m from New Hampshire, so I especially love listening to you. Jacqueline, Slave of Jesus, and the gentleman Marty who called about a month ago about his marriage and having problems with his daughter passing away a couple years ago. Just want you to know I listen every day and I pray along with you every day. I love you family.  Bye.

Hi Brian, Jill, the young Hardin’s and the DAB family, this is Garth from Bromley Kent UK. Brian, ever since you’ve spoken on Proverbs, Chapter 17 one month ago, verse 9 has stuck with me:  One who seeks love forgives an offense. As I reflected over and over on this and on what you’ve said since then it eventually dawned on me – if I truly want to be His light in that relationship I will forgive the offense. From another perspective, if I withhold forgiveness I hinder his light from permeating the relationship.  In addition, the person may hinder from receiving that fullness of all God has to offer in that relationship might be ourselves.  A few of my work relationships involve an ebbing and flowing of betrayal, forgiveness, and slipping back into mistrust on both sides. It has been an issue that I’ve struggled with over the past 6 years. Father, I continue to thank you for Brian, Jill and family, keeping themselves in such a relationship with us that they facilitate your fullness being revealed to us.  I thank you for your love that has not given up on us and allowed us several chances to become more Christ-like by disrupting us again and again. I thank you that your love continues to pursue us relentlessly, despite the fact that we have failed to recognize You in difficult circumstances. I thank you for exposing my and my colleagues’ habits of repeating offenses on perpetuating darkness rather than allowing Your light, Your love to infect these relationships.  With Your revelation and Your help, I come against this unforgiving state of mind, call it out, and bind it in the name of Jesus.  I ask that you loose your Holy Spirit in these relationships and allow them to bear your fruit.  With Your revelation and Your help I recommit myself to looking for You in these difficult relationships and serving your purpose above my own. I ask all this in the name of your precious son, Jesus. Amen.

Hi, this is Charlene calling from Toronto, Canada.  I am requesting prayer request for my brother, who is in the hospital. Unfortunately, he tried to commit suicide. Happened on July 1st, which was Canada’s birthday -  150th birthday for our country. Anyway, I know that it’s a spiritual issue. The world would call it mental illness. Anyway, he is very…(call disconnected)

I used to make a lot of plans and then ask God to bless them.  I never stopped to seek His face, so I know that I used to test Him. And still He wouldn’t let me down. He’d let me do things my own way and when I’d fail, He’d pick me up. He knew I’d get it right someday. He changed my pride to humility. He changed my doubt to faith. My desire is now purity and within His plan I’m safe. In everything I seek His face. I let Him make all the plans. I trust in Him to give me strength because the whole world’s in His hands. blindtony1016@gmail.com.  I’d like to give a shout out to Annette A. and Janet _____.  Hope all of you all are well. And once again, my love goes out to the Hardin family for this wonderful podcast for God’s Holy Spirit to flow throughout the earth. Keep it flowin’ y’all.  Alright. Bye-bye.
